Solicitor - Property • Location: Oldham, • Job Type: Full-time, Temp Day-to-Day of the Role: • Deliver legal advice and services in land and property law, including trusts, company law, and charity law within property contexts., • Handle land and property transactions from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with the Council's Constitution and governance arrangements., • Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, leases, and licenses, and prepare reports and presentations for Council officers and members., • Conduct legal research and provide specialist advice on complex legal matters without supervision., • Liaise with internal teams, external legal advisers, and government departments to coordinate legal services effectively., • Update and maintain legal precedents and documentation to ensure compliance with statutory duties., • Qualified solicitor or barrister with a minimum of one year post-qualification experience in land/property law or commercial conveyancing., • Strong drafting, negotiation, and influencing skills., • Proficient in IT with experience in Microsoft Office and case management systems., • In-depth knowledge of property law and related legal areas such as company and charity law., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage tight deadlines., • Competitive salary and benefits package., • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning., • Engaging work environment with a focus on innovation and teamwork.
