HGV Technician Oxford Days – up to 60 hour week - Monday to Friday or 4 on 4 off - days Ongoing The Automotive Maintenance division of Questech currently have an exciting new position, located near Didcot. This is an opportunity to work on a mixed fleet of NHS and local authority vehicles. This is an ongoing temporary contract with the option of a permanent contract for the right individuals. This is a days role and can be PAYE or Umbrella We are looking for Technicians/mechanics from a Commercial, HGV, PSV or LGV background. You will be an apprentice trained, fully qualified Technician that has experience working with a variety of LGV or HGV vehicles while also holding a C1 or Grandfathers rights license. ROLE • Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation, • Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment, • Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if approved tester), • Support workshops team members including Apprentice Technicians as required., • Accurately record time to complete jobs and associated details, • Use of skills and performance of other work within normal grade/job skills as required by the Workshop Supervisor to maximise workshop efficiency Skills & Experience • Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance & repair or an equivalent qualification, • Strong customer service skills, • Good attention to detail, • Ability to work autonomously, • Ability to work within given time frames, • Ability to tackle all aspects of vehicle repair and servicing., • Diagnostics skills, • C1 license is required. We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join our client's team in Harwell, as a Security Officer, working at a modern medical company in the area! The role will be to cover all aspects of security, including patrols, access and egress control and to work with the wider security team to respond to incidents. If you have security experience and great customer service, then this will be a great fit for you. Contract Information: Pay - £14.06 per hour Location - Harwell Hours - 60 Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday, 7:00 - 19:00 SIA - Door Super or Security Guarding is essential. The site is not accessible via public transport for the start and finish times, so you will need to have access to your own vehicle. Your Time at Work As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for: • Patrolling the site, internally and externally. - Liaising with customers and visitors. - Responding to any security incidents, first aid, or fire alarm response. - Incident report writing. - Access and egress control. - Meeting the customer standard at all times. Our Perfect Worker • You must be over the age of 18. - A current Door Supervisor or Security Guarding SIA license is essential. - Previous security experience is desirable, but not essential. - Good communication skills, verbal and written. - Strong IT skills.
