Garment Technologist – Sportswear / Streetwear / Casualwear A fast-growing, wholesale-led global sportswear/streetwear brand is seeking a Garment Technologist to support the development and production of its sportswear/streetwear mens and womens collections. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys pace, ownership and solving technical challenges, working closely with Design, Product and an offshore supply base. The Role You will be responsible for the technical development and quality execution of core sportswear, streetwear and casual apparel products, including: • Hoodies and Sweatshirts, • Tracksuits and Joggers, • T-shirts and Casual Tops, • Shorts and Casual Bottoms Key Responsibilities • Manage technical development from concept through to bulk production, • Conduct and lead fit sessions (live model), confidently sealing bulk approvals, • Review and approve samples at all stages (proto, SMS, PPS, shipment), • Create, update and maintain garment specifications, tech packs and measurement charts, • Ensure garments meet fit, performance, safety and legislative standards, • Approve and analyse test reports; manage testing trackers and follow-ups, • Communicate directly with offshore factories (primarily Far East) to resolve fit, construction and quality issues, • Support wash-care labelling accuracy and compliance, • Contribute to quality control reporting and analysis of product returns, • Work closely with Design and Product teams on fabric, trim and construction choices, • Make sound commercial decisions balancing quality, cost and timelines, • Identify and implement improvements to technical processes and ways of working About You • More than 2 years’ experience as a Garment Technologist within fashion, streetwear, sportswear or casualwear, • Strong knowledge of garment construction, fitting, grading, pattern cutting and fabrics, • Experience working on casual and streetwear product types such as hoodies, tracksuits, tees and jackets, • Confident working directly with offshore suppliers and technical laboratories, • Commercially aware with a practical, solutions-focused mindset, • Highly organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, • Experience within wholesale-led apparel businesses, • Exposure to performance or different fabric constructions, • Understanding of returns analysis and quality improvement processes Why Apply • Excellent salary, annual bonus, annual salary review, 33 days holidays including bank holidays, company pension contribution, clothing discount, • Career Growth and stability, • High level of ownership across product and production, • Close collaboration with Design and Product teams, • Opportunity to influence quality, fit and execution, • Be part of a fast-moving, ambitious apparel business.
