About the Role As the Senior Analyst, Digital Revenue Assurance & Insights, supporting the Director and Manager of Digital Revenue Assurance & Insights you will be at the forefront of SMP's digital claims, playing a crucial role in one of the most important functions SMP performs for its global clients; ensuring all their digital revenue is collected. Digital royalties represent the largest income stream to SMP, underscoring the critical importance of the work conducted by the team to our global business operations. The role carries great responsibility to the significant additional royalties generated by the activities of the team. Collaborating closely with the Director and Senior Manager of Digital Revenue Assurance & Insights your key focus will be optimising our extensive repertoire utilisation by our Direct Digital Licensing Partners and therefore increasing revenues. From maintaining the ICE Copyright database to validating third party matching, your diligence ensures the continual growth and accuracy of our music catalogue. Proficiency in data matching tools and techniques is vital as you contribute to bespoke analytical work related to the exploitation of the SMP catalogue on DSPs reporting. What You’ll Do: Digital Licensing and Repertoire Management: • Collaborate with the Director and Senior Manager of Digital Revenue Assurance & Insights to verify DSP usage reporting; conducting rigorous revenue assurance processes to ensure that our complete repertoire is claimed by our Direct Digital Licensing Partners., • Oversee the ICE Copyright database to accurately reflect our catalogue. Liaise with ICE Copyright and SMP departments to promptly implement necessary changes., • Facilitate internal communication of metadata and streaming activity relating to new signings to guarantee timely delivery and subsequent registration of the full schedule of compositions., • Maintain strong relationships with affiliate A&R and admin teams, establishing a communication network for outstanding registrations relating to the latest signings., • Engage with third party claim management systems such as YouTube CMS, Facebook Rights Manager to answer client enquires., • Demonstrate proficiency in data matching tools and techniques to independently analyse DSPs usage reports, • Conduct specialised analytical work related to the exploitation of the SMP catalogue on DSPs, providing valuable insight and business intelligence to internal stakeholders., • Responsible for supporting affiliates with income tracking and address audit queries, ensuring seamless financial processes. Who You Are: Whilst the below represents what we are looking for in a candidate not all are essential, and we will assess each candidate on their unique skills, experience and merit. Education/Experience • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university or equivalent experience working in the same or similar role., • Working experience within the following industries: music publishing, DSPs, and finance., • Good knowledge of contemporary and 20th-century popular music., • Understanding of the music publishing business and how it fits into the wider music industry., • Experience using Microsoft Excel and large data sets in a professional environment., • Experience working with Cloud Data Warehouses, Python libraries, Microsoft PowerBI, or Altair Data Prep Studio., • Ability to translate data-driven business intelligence into business recommendations., • Organisation skills – ability to take ownership for delivery to an agreed service level, and to escalate issues where necessary, offering solutions., • High level of accuracy and attention to detail taking pride in the integrity of the work through diligent checking at every step of the process., • Creative approach to problem solving and able to confidently put new ideas across to senior members of staff., • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, highly interactive and communicative with others and able to express ideas in a clear, logical and constructive way., • Working experience within cross-functional teams, senior management and external clients.
