Production Technician / Production Technician Engineer (Workshop Upholsterer – Covers & Upholstery) Watford £25k – £35k (DOE) 37.5 hours per week (full-time preferred, part-time considered) Target start April (flexible for the right person) Trusted Recruiter is proud to be supporting a specialist manufacturer of bespoke seating systems for wheelchair users in their search for a hands-on, skilled Production Technician to join their growing workshop team. This is not volume manufacturing. Every seating system is custom-built for an individual - improving comfort, posture and quality of life. Each product is its own project, taken from brief through to completion. If you are someone who genuinely enjoys making things - not just supervising or repairing - this could be an incredibly rewarding opportunity. The Role You will: • Manufacture bespoke seating systems for wheelchair users, • Interpret briefs, notes, photos and drawings, • Work across multiple stages of production, • Adapt positively to change, rework and variation, • Gradually cross-train across different processes, • Contribute to continuous improvement within the workshop Who We’re Looking For Attitude and maker ability matter most. ✔ Hands-on, craft-oriented mindset ✔ Pride in producing high-quality physical products ✔ Resilient and adaptable ✔ Open, constructive communicator ✔ Problem-solving approach ✔ Comfortable working in a flexible, trust-based team environment Relevant backgrounds could include upholstery, fashion or costume production, mechanical or production engineering, model-making, CNC operation, product design or bespoke fabrication - but formal qualifications are not essential. Training and development are provided.
