Handle Recruitment are looking for an Events Operations Manager to join our clients global events portfolio.London | Hybrid - 3 days in office Up to £40,000 + 10% Bonus Lots of international travel opportunities!!The Opportunity: Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their conference and exhibition team. The role focuses on delivering and managing high-quality international events across Europe, the Middle East, America, and Africa. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event operations, the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and meticulous attention to detail. This is a hybrid role (three days in the office) with onsite responsibilities during events, requiring international travel and occasional weekend or evening work. \n Key Responsibilities: \n\n • Manage the operational delivery of multiple events worldwide from conception to completion.\n, • Oversee event operations budgets, planning, and forecasting to ensure financial targets are met.\n, • Collaborate with senior leadership on operational strategy for each event.\n, • Develop and manage event timelines, delegating tasks to team members as required.\n, • Source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with venues and key contractors.\n, • Ensure all production, marketing, sales, and finance elements of events are coordinated effectively.\n, • Produce detailed technical information for exhibitors, including manuals and zone plans.\n, • Deliver sponsorship and exhibitor packages, including stands, branding, and features.\n, • Design and manage floor plans, event signage, and show guides.\n, • Oversee health and safety compliance, including risk assessments and Construction Phase Plans.\n, • Conduct post-event evaluations and identify opportunities for improvement.\n, • Participate in cross-team initiatives and working groups.\n, • Travel internationally as required and work flexible hours leading up to events.\n\n Knowledge, Skills, Attitude and Behaviour: \n\n • Proven experience in international conferences and exhibitions.\n, • Experience designing and coordinating feature builds for exhibitions.\n, • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n, • Strong experience creating and managing event operations budgets, planning, and forecasting.\n, • Familiarity with event software platforms and onsite Health & Safety management.
