About the Role We are looking for an experienced AI & Machine Learning Engineer to design, develop, deploy and maintain AI and machine learning solutions that support business operations and data-driven decision-making. You will work across machine learning, statistical modelling, data engineering, natural language processing, forecasting and AI application development, turning complex business and operational data into practical solutions. The role involves working closely with technical and business stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI and machine learning can improve forecasting, automation, customer insight, operational efficiency and commercial performance. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, train and deploy machine learning models for business applications., • Develop predictive models for forecasting, classification, regression, customer behaviour and business performance., • Perform feature engineering, model optimisation and performance evaluation., • Develop AI-driven solutions to automate analytical and operational processes., • Work with structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources., • Build data-processing workflows and pipelines to support machine learning applications., • Apply statistical modelling and exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns and anomalies., • Develop NLP and text-mining solutions, including text classification, sentiment analysis and entity extraction., • Deploy machine learning models into production environments and support ongoing monitoring and optimisation., • Develop reproducible ML workflows and maintain appropriate version control and documentation., • Work with cloud-based infrastructure to support scalable AI/ML applications., • Develop forecasting and optimisation models for areas such as demand, sales, revenue and business performance., • Develop production-quality Python and other technical code for AI/ML and data-processing applications., • Integrate machine learning models with existing software systems and business applications., • Ensure appropriate data quality, privacy, security, governance and responsible AI practices., • Assess model reliability, bias, explainability and performance., • Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Essential Skills & Experience • Degree or Master's qualification in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline., • Strong practical experience in machine learning and statistical modelling., • Strong programming skills, particularly Python., • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries., • Strong knowledge of data manipulation, feature engineering and model development., • Experience working with both structured and unstructured data., • Knowledge of regression, classification, clustering and predictive modelling., • Knowledge or practical experience of NLP and text-mining techniques., • Experience developing and deploying machine learning models., • Understanding of cloud-based computing and data-processing environments., • Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills., • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
