Welcome Bonus-£5,000 Following successful Ofsted Registration Ofsted bonus up to £6,000 per year Occupancy bonuses earn up to £5,000 every 6 months Job Description: As our Registered Children's Home Manager, you will lead a dedicated team and provide exceptional care for children and young people aged 8-17 in a Residential setting. You will be responsible for setting up systems and procedures at a strategic, operational and administrative level at our new home. You will take lead on day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards set by Ofsted and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations. Your role will include: Leadership and Management: Inspire and lead a team of committed professionals in delivering outstanding care and support to each child, fostering a culture of respect, dignity, and empowerment. Regulatory Compliance: Implement and maintain administrative structures and systems to comply with safeguarding standards, legislation, and Ofsted requirements. You will ensure that all policies and procedures are up to date and effectively executed. Child-Centred Care: Develop individual support plans tailored to the unique needs of each child, promoting their emotional, social, and educational development. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate staff performance through regular supervision, support and development initiatives, ensuring a high-quality care standard is consistently achieved. Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, stakeholders, and local community resources to ensure each child receives comprehensive support and opportunities for personal growth. Financial Management: Responsible for budgeting, financial control, and resource management, ensuring the home operates within its means while providing excellent care. Job Specification: Essential Qualifications and Experience: Qualifying Criteria: Must possess a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or 3 Years management or leadership experience in children’s residential setting. Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in residential childcare, with at least two years in a managerial or supervisory role. Knowledge of Regulations: In-depth knowledge of Ofsted standards, Children’s Act, safeguarding procedures, and the regulatory framework governing children’s homes. Previous Ofsted rating as either Good or Outstanding. Practical: Full Driving License Demonstrable Skills: · Strong leadership and personnel management abilities. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, staff, and stakeholders. · Proven experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining administrative and operational procedures. Desirable Attributes: · Experience in supporting children with complex needs, including emotional and behavioural challenges. · Understanding of trauma-informed care practices. · Strong background in financial management and budget oversight.     The Global Sourcing Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the Global Sourcing function, ensuring seamless execution from purchase order (PO) handoff to final product delivery. This is a part time position that plays a critical role in maintaining supply chain efficiency and ensuring that all sourcing activities support the company’s business goals, timelines, and quality standards. Operating in a dynamic, highly motivated office environment, the role is both strategic and operational, requiring great coordination, and communication skills. Purchase Order Management • Manage the end-to-end purchase order (PO) process within Global Supply, ensuring timely and accurate entry, processing, and follow-up., • Resolve PO discrepancies, monitor order dashboards daily, and maintain on-time performance., • Oversee delivery of 24,000+ items annually from 15 suppliers, ensuring Distribution Center (DC) availability and customer service levels., • Send and track requests for quotation (RFQs) via sourcing systems, manage cost inputs (incl. freight), and liaise with Marketing for timely confirmation. Production & Delivery Oversight • Monitor global production of card and non-card products to meet forecasted demand and deadlines., • Coordinate Private Label and customer delivery schedule (CDS) timelines from artwork release to warehouse delivery., • Investigate delays, manage work-in-progress issues, and coordinate post-shipment deliveries., • Support product sourcing with costing, samples, and innovation while maintaining supplier capacity and on-time delivery., • Provide volume and material forecasts to ensure continuous supply. Supplier & Stakeholder Collaboration • Support the AG Asia buying team and supervise sourcing activities to ensure reliable and sustainable product supply., • Liaise with global suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on lead times, capacity, and quality standards., • Escalate supply chain issues and provide updates on CDS activities and project priorities., • Support audit readiness, ensuring compliance with FSC, EUTR, and retailer requirements. Performance Monitoring & Reporting • Track and report on order progress, manufacturing timelines, and supplier performance., • Deliver regular reports and root cause analysis to senior leadership., • Monitor KPIs across vendor performance, cost, quality, delivery, and SKU availability. Process Improvement • Identify inefficiencies and lead improvement initiatives across global sourcing processes., • Support system upgrades, drive process optimisation, and implement best practices across UK, Asia, and US operations., • Apply strong negotiation skills on card and non-card products to protect margins and lock in favourable cost structures. Skills & Qualifications Required • Strong experience in global sourcing, supply chain, or procurement roles., • Proven ability to manage teams and workflows in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly., • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills., • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail., • A collaborative mindset and a proactive, problem-solving approach., • Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills, • Knowledge and understanding of Costing, Marketing, the Asia Global Sourcing offices and Production is desirable, as is Card and Gift Dressing specification experience. About the Role As a Residential Support Worker at Spire Assist, you will provide day-to-day care, emotional support, and practical guidance to young people in a residential environment. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, implementing and maintaining personalized care plans, supporting education and independence skills, and helping to create a safe and stable home atmosphere. This role involves direct contact with children and young people who may have experienced trauma or have complex needs. You will be expected to adhere to safeguarding, medication, and data-protection procedures at all times. Key Responsibilities Work with the team to implement and review care plans, behavior support plans, risk assessments, and health plans. Provide person-centered support, including personal care, emotional support, and encouragement with life-skills and routines. Administer medication safely and complete accurate records. Build positive relationships with young people based on trust and consistency, acting as a key worker when needed. Keep accurate written and electronic records, contribute to reports, and attend reviews and meetings. About You — Person Specification We are looking for someone who demonstrates clear, compassionate communication and strong listening skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly. Good written skills and basic IT literacy for record-keeping and reporting are required, along with an understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries. Calm, confident de-escalation skills and the ability to follow behavior management plans are crucial. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Minimum 1 year’s experience in a similar residential or supported setting working with children or young people. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and right to work in the UK. Desirable: Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Health & Social Care or NVQ Level 3 for Residential Childcare or equivalent (or working towards it). Training or experience in trauma-informed practice, autism/ADHD awareness, positive behavior support, and first aid.
