We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Caregiver Assistant to join our close-knit team. Responsibilities: Provide attentive care and supervision to children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Assist with daily routines, including feeding, napping, and diaper changes. Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks. Maintain a clean and organized daycare space, including regular cleaning and sanitizing. Support children with educational activities, tutoring, and age-appropriate learning experiences. Engage children in fun and educational games, crafts, and outdoor activities. Assist in planning and implementing educational and recreational programs. Follow all daycare policies and procedures to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Qualifications: No formal qualifications required, but experience working with children is a plus. Must pass a background check. Completion of a tuberculosis test is required. Must complete online training courses as mandated by the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) within several months of hiring. These trainings are brief and can be done after being hired. Daycare looking for an Assistant with experience in working at a daycare home or a daycare center. Some of the duties include supervising and monitoring the safety of the children; diapering and potty training. One must also be willing to multi-task, have patience, a sense of humor, enjoy engaging children in creative and educationalactivities, such as building blocks, sandbox, art, dance, music cooking and more. The Preschool School Aide supports the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. This role involves assisting with daily activities, providing individual support to students, and helping maintain a positive classroom atmosphere. Key Responsibilities: Support Daily Activities: Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities. Help set up and clean up classroom materials and learning areas. Student Interaction: Supervise and engage with children during playtime, group activities, and transitions. Provide one-on-one support to students as needed, fostering their social and emotional development. Classroom Management: *Help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment. *Assist in managing student behavior and implementing classroom rules and routines. Communication: *Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and staff regarding student progress and any concerns. *Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required. Health and Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in the classroom and during outdoor activities. Assist with basic needs, such as meals, snacks, and restroom breaks. Qualifications: *High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in early childhood education preferred. *Experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting. *Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with children. *Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. *Basic knowledge of child development and early education principles. *First aid and CPR certification is a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry children and materials as needed. Willingness to engage in active play and movement with children.
