See our video on Goldfish Experience: Primary Responsibilities: • Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum, • Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents, • Evaluates students progress and completes required documentation in a timely manner, • Interacts professionally with parents/guardians after each swim lesson on the activities and development of students swim skills, • Uses problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter, • Assists with setting up the pool prior to lessons and cleaning up after lessons, including proper storage of all pool equipment and lane lines, • Attend required/mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours Job Requirements and Skills: • No experience is necessary. With paid training provided, this is a great job for recent high school graduates and/or college students., • Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider is a plus!, • Must pass background examinations (included with training)., • Ability to work with children, • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills, • Must pass background examinations (included with training), • Instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider a plus, • High School Diploma/GED required, Some College preferred, • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications are obtainable by employees in the future, and are rewarded with additional compensation upon completion, • For those not certified, Goldfish Swim School provides training at no cost to the employee while they undergo their paid training, • Certification courses in our facility, which all employees are required to complete within 3 months of employment.
