Job DescriptionJob description California Closets is a renowned brand and an established leader in the closet industry. We are a rapidly growing, custom furniture manufacturer based out of Hawthorne, NY. Job Summary: The Install Carpenter/Install Apprentice will deliver and install custom closet systems, wall units, entertainment centers, garages units, home office, and more. Our installations are high-end and require precision. Duties/Responsibilities: • Builds project accurately and within time and budget specifications., • Uses power tools, power saws, hand tools, dowels, screws, and other tools and fasteners to complete the project., • Attaches specified door pulls and hardware and hangs cabinet doors on frames., • Work experience in cabinetry, woodworking, trim carpentry, or trade experience., • Good verbal communication skills., • Ability to appropriately measure and skillfully build., • Very good math and spatial skills., • Thorough understanding of and ability to operate complex and basic tools., • Extremely accurate and detail oriented., • Able to walk, lift 50 pounds, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb stairs, kneel, and crouch., • Visually inspect and report or fix small defects and/or minor measuring mistakes., • Able to operate machines, motor vehicles, hand tools, and job specific equipment and tools., • Able to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of work., • Able to use communication by means of spoken word to express or exchange ideas., • Prolonged periods standing and building., • Must be able to bend, squat, reach, stretch, and move in order to take accurate and appropriate measurements., • Career path to Installer.
