Our Residential Programs are staffed 24/7. Our Resident Assistants are responsible for supporting residents by assisting with essential living skills and activities while ensuring a safe and healthy living environment and upholding the dignity and respect of each individual. This position is located at our Lighthouse Residence on 1225 Van Cortland Street in Schenectady. Schedule/Hours: Part—time, Sat & Sun, 8am – 4pm (16 hrs/week) Pay: $16/hr Primary Responsibilities • Conduct routine rounds and update communication log and address issues as needed., • Maintain accurate and legible reports and records including, but not limited to:, • Daily Communication logs, • Medication logs, • Incident reports, • Assist residents with living skills such as, but not limited to:, • Recreational games with an educational component (i.e. scrabble, word search), • Personal hygiene- ensure appropriate items such as soap, toothpaste, etc. are available and used by residents, • Securing personal items such as medications, valuables, etc., • Attend to daily maintenance and upkeep of residence and grounds as outlined in the shift schedule (i.e., general housekeeping, lawn mowing, snow removal, etc.)., • Work with Veterans in the agency’s Transitional Housing program,Qualifications, • High School Diploma or GED required.
