Our Accounting department values precision, integrity, and teamwork. We are looking for an individual who is detail-oriented, analytical, and has a strong understanding of accounting principles. Our team works closely with government, hospitals, and retail accounts handling a wide range of financial activities from managing financial transactions, compliance, to overseeing billing and payments, and handling the day-to-day financial operations. Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for managing ScriptPro’s accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining thorough documentation. This role involves completing payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Reporting Relationship: Corporate Controller Shift: Generally, Monday through Friday 8-5 pm CST. This is an onsite position. Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro. Scope of the Role: • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation, invoice entry, and obtain approvals for payment, • Process 3-way P.O. matching invoices, handling up to 100+ line items., • Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms., • Process check requests efficiently., • Audit and process credit card expenses., • Match invoices to checks, obtain all necessary signatures, and distribute checks accordingly., • Maintain 1099 records accurately., • Respond to all vendor inquiries promptly and professionally., • Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies., • Assist in the month-end close process., • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting practices., • Approve employee expense reports submitted., • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred, • 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience, • Must be able to follow standard filing procedures, • Proficient in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch, Oracle and Concur experience a plus, • Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills, • Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures, • Proven experience working independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness, • Proven ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately, • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, • Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner, • Must have strong work ethics, • Must be well organized and a self-starter, • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable At ScriptPro, we believe that our employees are our greatest asset. Routine use of standard office equipment is required. Must be able to use a computer for extended periods of time.
