Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Cardiovascular Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 09/23/2025, • Duration: 8 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, evenings, • Employment Type: Local Contract Job Title: Cardiovascular Technician Location:New York, NY 10025 Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM (8x5) Contract Duration : 8 Weeks Pay rate: $ 65 - $68 per hour on W2 Job Summary: The Cardiovascular Technician is responsible for supporting interventional cardiology procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. This includes monitoring patients, handling specialized medical equipment, and assisting physicians with invasive procedures. This position plays a vital role in ensuring patient safety and the smooth operation of the lab. Key Responsibilities: • Monitor and record patient blood pressures and alert physicians to deviations from baseline., • Interpret intracardiac pressures and catheter positions., • Maintain accurate procedural records using Cardiac Cath Lab computer systems., • Operate, calibrate, and monitor diagnostic equipment (e.g., A-Vox, Cardiac Output, ACT)., • Assist physicians by supplying and managing medical tools and devices (catheters, wires, balloons, stents)., • Analyze and process procedural data, including computer entry and output of key information., • Set up and manage intra-aortic balloon pump operations; assist in timing and troubleshooting with physician input., • Remain with patients during procedures and until transfer to appropriate post-op units (CCU, OR, CSICU)., • Provide emergency support including defibrillation, external pacing, resuscitation, and suctioning., • Stock and maintain lab inventory; perform and document preventive equipment maintenance., • Report equipment issues and shortages to the supervisor promptly., • Learn and implement new technologies and procedures (e.g., Flow wire, ultrasound, rotablator)., • Operate power injectors for contrast dye administration., • Set up sterile fields and prep for cardiac catheterization procedures. Required: • Experience with MS Office Suite., • Prior experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab environment., • Ability to operate specialized cardiovascular diagnostic and monitoring equipment.
