Job Summary The Regional Director of Operations leads people, operational, and customer initiatives across assigned branches and locations. This role provides planning, direction, evaluation, and control to achieve operational and financial goals while building strong leadership teams and maintaining effective customer relationships critical to retention and growth. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Culture • Lead, coach, and motivate management teams and associates, • Foster a people-first, customer-focused culture, • Ensure consistent and fair administration of personnel policies, • Demonstrate resilience and sound judgment during high-pressure situations Operations & Customer Excellence • Oversee all branch operations to ensure compliance, service excellence, and profitability, • Maintain strong client relationships and participate in client meetings and committees, • Collaborate with Sales on new business proformas, prospect meetings, blitzes, and sales calls, • Ensure effective execution across purchasing, warehouse operations, field support, accounting, and national accounts Financial & Business Management • Deliver financial results aligned with budget expectations, • Manage P&L performance and key expenditures, including purchasing, fleet, maintenance, parts, and overtime, • Interpret financial statements, including profit and loss and balance sheets Compliance, Safety & Fleet • Administer corporate food safety and occupational safety programs at the branch level, • Ensure compliance with government, agency, and DOT fleet requirements, • Manage both union and non-union associatesWhat Success Looks Like in This Role:, • Think strategically and translate plans into measurable action, • Lead with professionalism, positivity, and strong communication, • Make timely, sound decisions in dynamic environments, • Build trust with associates, clients, suppliers, and peers, • Adapt leadership approach to diverse personalities and client expectations, • Maintain focus and effectiveness during periods of change or stressQualifications:, • Bachelor’s degree preferred, • 5+ years of operational and financial leadership experience, preferably in foodservice or managed services, • Experience managing large-volume operations and P&L responsibility, • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record, • Ability to operate company vehicles and travel regularly Associates at Canteen are offered many fantastic benefits.
