Job Description Reality Capture Technician (Architectural / LiDAR Survey) The Reality Capture Technician plays a key role on our national architectural survey team, capturing precise existing building conditions using advanced LiDAR and reality capture technologies. This position combines hands-on fieldwork with technical production, transforming point cloud data into accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit for multi-site commercial environments including quick-service restaurants (QSR), retail stores, grocery, and fuel/convenience facilities across the U.S. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys travel, hands-on fieldwork, and turning real-world data into precise digital models. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Operate LiDAR and reality capture equipment (Leica or similar) to collect accurate building data, • Register and process laser scan point clouds into usable datasets, • Develop existing conditions drawings and 3D models in AutoCAD and Revit, • Document key building systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing), • Capture photo documentation and produce clear, organized reports, • Collaborate with field and production teams to optimize data capture workflows, • Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of deliverables, • Follow all safety protocols on job sites and during travel, • Complete administrative tasks including timesheets and expense reporting, • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred, • 1–2+ years of experience in building surveys, reality capture, or similar fieldwork, • 1–2+ years of experience with AutoCAD and Revit, • Experience with point cloud software (Autodesk ReCap, Leica Cyclone, or similar), • Familiarity with commercial construction methods and building systems, • Knowledge of ADA standards preferred, • FAA Part 107 license (or willingness to obtain) preferred, • Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills, • High attention to detail with ability to work independently, • Extensive national travel (60–80%), • Ability to travel independently or with small teams, • Flexible schedule with adaptability to changing site conditions, • Comfortable working at heights (ladders, rooftops, elevated areas), • Ability to work indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions, • Capable of working remotely while managing multiple projects Sevan Multi-Site Solutions is a veteran-owned business that provides construction, program management, real estate & site development, and architecture & engineering services for restaurant, grocery, fuel and convenience store, retail, and government sectors nationwide.
