This role includes diagnostics, service, repair, and installation work in residential and light commercial environments. Day-to-Day Expectations A typical day as an Armory Plumbing technician includes: • Arriving at the shop on time each morning, • Reviewing your schedule and stocking materials/tools needed for the day, • Heading out to your first service call or scheduled installation, • Calling the customer when youre on the way, • Greeting the customer professionally, listening carefully to their concerns, • Diagnosing the issue accurately and explaining your findings, • Completing the repair/installation with clean, code-compliant workmanship, • Following all Massachusetts plumbing code requirements (248 CMR), • Testing your work and educating the customer on what was done, • Cleaning up thoroughlyleave every space better than you found it, • Documenting materials, notes, photos, and invoices before moving to the next job Professionalism, communication, and workmanship are the foundation of the Armory experience. Responsibilities • Diagnose, repair, and install plumbing systems and components, • Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using proper techniques, • Install fixtures, appliances, valves, and water heaters, • Plan and execute plumbing layouts from drawings or specifications, • Perform maintenance on water supply, drainage, venting, and gas systems, • Install and maintain gas piping and hydronic-related plumbing, • Ensure all work meets Massachusetts plumbing code and Armory standards, • Interact with customers professionally, explain findings clearly, and maintain excellent communication throughout the visit, • Maintain high-level professionalism in appearance, behavior, and workmanship, • Keep job sites clean and protect customer property, • Accurately document job notes, materials used, recommendations, and photos Qualifications • Valid Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Plumbing License, • Minimum of 3 years professional plumbing experience, • Strong understanding of residential and light commercial plumbing systems, • Must be familiar with and up to date on the Massachusetts plumbing code (248 CMR), • Strong troubleshooting skills and efficiency in diagnostics, • Ability to use plumbing tools, materials, and equipment, • Clean driving record and valid drivers license, • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces as needed, • Positive attitude, professionalism, and pride in your craft Compensation, Bonuses & Benefits Pay Range • $30$45 per hour, depending on license level and experience Bonus Structure • Performance-based monthly bonuses, • Upsell/option-based commission opportunities, • Efficiency bonuses for clean, well-documented jobs, • Customer satisfaction bonuses Paid Time Off • Accrued PTO starting day one, • Sick time in accordance with Massachusetts law Paid Holidays • New Years Day, • Memorial Day, • Independence Day, • Labor Day, • Thanksgiving, • Day After Thanksgiving, • Christmas Eve, • Christmas Day Company Perks • Take-home company truck after background check, probation period, and final approval, • Company uniforms provided, • High-performing, motivational, and supportive team culture, • Paid training and continuing education, • Opportunity for advancement as the company grows, • All major tools and specialty equipment provided, • Leadership and management growth paths available, • Family-like environment with a focus on individual and team success
