Primary Responsibilities Electrical Systems & Integration • Design, wire, and integrate custom automotive electrical systems — analog and digital — with OEM-level execution., • Expertly work with 12V systems, high-current circuits, and parasitic draw troubleshooting., • Wire logic-based circuits using Bosch-style relays, solid-state modules, and OEM harness integration., • Build clean, protected, and serviceable harnesses with professional routing and circuit protection., • Modify and reconfigure alternator systems — including ECU-controlled modern alternators and vintage generator systems., • Retrofit vintage systems to modern electrical standards (6V to 12V conversions, etc.). CFR is committed to providing robust supervision to program staff, and we have a need for a Litigation Supervisor in the Bronx. Under the supervision of the YDP Director and Deputy Director, the Litigation Supervisor’s primary responsibility will be to supervise up to four or five staff attorneys of varying degrees of experience who work in interdisciplinary teams with social work, youth advocate, peer advocate, client coordinator and paralegal staff to represent children in Article 3 Juvenile Delinquency proceedings, Persons in Need of Supervision (PINS), occasional Youth Part cases and other related family court proceedings. Litigation Supervisors are responsible for helping attorneys develop mastery in all aspects of litigation as well as in reinforcing and building upon skills and values introduced in initial and ongoing trainings, and provide regular, robust supervision. Litigation Supervisors write professional development reviews, periodically coordinate case practice and attorney workgroup meetings, and from time to time, develop practice materials useful for staff at CFR. The Staff Attorney is expected to provide such legal representation and assistance in cases involving, but not limited to, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, Asylum, U/T Nonimmigrant Status, and Cancellation of Removal, including representing individuals in immigration, family and federal district court., • Contribute to the work of our general immigration practice through sharing knowledge and collaboration., • Assisting in community education efforts, including through the creation of written materials, KYR presentations, and popular education workshops., • Supporting MRNY members and organizing campaigns through strategic litigation, legislative advocacy, research, media work, and action support., • Participating in team and department meetings; meetings with external partners; and assisting with tracking and highlighting cases as necessary for development and grant reporting., • Continuous learning regarding movement lawyering (theory and application) as well as other critical concepts that underscore our organizational approach to building power, such as racialized capitalism.
