Job Description Centralus Health Director, Supply Chain Operations and Logistics The Director of Supply Chain Operations and Logistics is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of all supply chain operations within the Centralus Health organization. This role ensures operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with the overall goals of the organization while maintaining high standards of quality and service. The Director of Supply Chain Operations develops and implements comprehensive supply chain management strategies to optimize procurement, logistics, and inventory management. The Director is a member of SCS senior leadership team, partnering with the senior leaders of Operations & Logistics, Strategic Sourcing & Purchasing and the SCS AVP. This SCS LT sets the strategic direction for the department as well as short- and long-term goals and performance objectives for the department in its entirety and for their respective teams. Education Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Operations, Business, Industrial Engineering, Healthcare Management, or other related field required plus 4 years of relevant experience; Previous experience in logistics field required. Master's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred or equivalent experience. Experience • Minimum of three years' experience required with enterprise resource planning systems., • Five years of experience in Supply Chain Operations, Logistics, Procurement and Vendor Performance experience required., • Strong analytical skills combined with practical business acumen to include financial analytics., • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in clear and concise business communications., • Strong team building and communication skills, and the ability to develop and foster relationships at all levels throughout the organization., • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project) required., • Three years' progressive management experience in a healthcare organization preferred., • Five years' progressive management experience required., • 3-5 years' experience standardizing complex and disparate processes; experience in process improvement methodology, change management, operational improvement in complex systems required, • 3-5 years' experience in creating and successfully executing strategic plans for complex issues preferred., • Knowledge in data management, retrieval, and report-writing application., • Knowledge of medical supplies/devices preferred., • Advanced understanding of information technology applications to lead team (and support departments) in the development of accessibility of data., • This position requires strong leadership skills to make an appropriate contribution and give direction to issues, work groups, and task forces., • Must have the ability to manage shifting priorities and direct multiple projects while consistently meeting established deadlines., • Must be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision and have a strong commitment to continuous quality improvement., • Must be able to process a large amount of information in a brief period of time and have the confidence to make informed decisions. Required Qualifications • Prior direct experience analyzing relevant subject matter (e.g., Supply Chain, Inventory, Procurement, Logistics etc.)., • Knowledge of supply chain business processes and inventory management., • Experience with Workday SCM, Infor Lawson, EPIC, and other healthcare software. Preferred Professional Certifications CMRP, CPSM, ERP, Lean Six Sigma designated certifications preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Extensive knowledge of shipping and distribution channels., • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to innovative technologies, tools, and techniques, • Knowledge of healthcare accounting, managed care, information systems, integrated delivery systems, regulatory issues, and medical billings issues., • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and inclusiveness., • Address performance issues and manage department staffing needs., • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders., • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to optimize supply chain processes., • Lead short and long-term operations and logistical strategic sourcing activities, supervises staff and allocates tasks., • Develop and implement operations and logistics policies and procedures., • Serve as a resource to others regarding functional knowledge and expertise to department management and others outside department/function., • Develop and track key performance metrics for operations & logistics activities., • Lead, measure, monitor and report on the status and outcome of all continuous financial improvement initiatives through regular communication with leadership & stakeholders., • Implement continuous process improvement mindset to drive operational efficiencies., • Assess team scope, structure, talent/skill gaps, and level of effort to develop staffing plans, • Manage and oversee the development and mentorship of direct reports., • Collects, interprets, and analyzes distinct types of logistics data including availability of products, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution., • Develops and maintains strategies to coordinate with operations on standardization of supplies, services equipment, and supply chain processes., • Maintains database(s) of logistics information., • Tracks flow from origin to delivery via web-based logistics systems and other appropriate methods of monitoring inventory and shipment vehicles., • Reviews logistics processes and procedures; identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs., • Reviews and analyzes transportation costs, parts procurement and delivery processes, inventory issues such as back orders, and other fulfillment metrics., • Uses analytic methods to understand, predict, and control logistics operations processes., • Monitors warehouse facilities to evaluate inventory transactions such as receiving, storage, shipping, and inventory integrity., • Drafts, edits, and produces communication plans, reports, briefings, presentations, project statuses and responses for use by senior management and/or key stakeholders; makes recommendations for improvement and appropriate parties based upon conclusions., • Applies continuous process improvement methodology to supply chain processes., • Develops and delivers presentations and workshops to illustrate project methods; facilitates and leads training sessions for operations, logistics and related skills., • Guides multi-year strategic plans consistent with the Centralus Health strategic plan, conducting annual goal-planning, performance monitoring and improvement, functional relationship strategies, outreach programs., • Supports the success of Centralus Health by effectively contributing to and utilizing national strategies and capabilities, actively sharing new learning and innovation, and by assuring business practices are consistent with Centralus Health., • Maintains an operating culture which is disciplined, accountable, consistent, cost-effective, and collaborative, and ensures that patient well-being and safety are paramount., • Perform other duties as assigned and participate in special projects as assigned.
