Job DescriptionMedical Assistant – Outpatient Clinic Location: Scarsdale, Hawthorne, and White Plains, NY Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Patient Volume: 50–100 patients/day Compensation: Competitive salary + comprehensive benefits package About the Role We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our busy outpatient team. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming experience and smooth clinic flow. You’ll assist with clinical tasks, patient documentation, and support physicians during exams. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong patient care skills, attention to detail, and a passion for healthcare. Key Responsibilities • Monitor patient arrivals and manage efficient patient flow, • Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth, • Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with exam preparation, • Notify physicians when patients are ready, • Record patient complaints, histories, vital signs, allergies, and collect specimens, • Document results in EMR within scope of practice, • Prepare medical records and ensure lab reports are available before appointments, • Provide interpretation services and general clerical support, • Maintain clean and organized exam rooms and medical areas, • Stock supplies and verify inventory from vendors, • Update patient insurance and medical information in EMR, • Retrieve and file medical reports and lab results, • Uphold patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulationsRequired Skills & Qualifications, • Experience obtaining vitals and working with EMR systems, • Proficiency in patient scheduling and care coordination, • Familiarity with Epic EMR, • Strong communication and organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications, • 2+ years of healthcare experience, • Bilingual or multilingual skills (for interpretation support) Benefits include: • Paid time off, • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, • Flexible spending and health savings accounts, • 401(k) and retirement planning, • Tuition reimbursement, • Employer-paid life and AD&D insurance, • Short- and long-term disability coverage The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
