Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and experienced CDL A Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of commercial driving experience, preferably within the food industry, and must possess a valid CDL A license, clean driving abstract, valid DOT medical card, and be insurable. This role requires consistent, safe, and efficient delivery of goods throughout NYC, New Jersey, and the tri-state area, while maintaining excellent customer service and professional communication. Compensation * $25.00 – $27.00 per hour (based on experience) Benefits * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance * Weekly Pay * 401(k) Plan * Tuition Reimbursement * Referral Program * Life & Disability Insurance * Identity Theft Protection * Flexible Scheduling Schedule * Monday – Friday * Start Time: 6:00 AM until route completion Key Responsibilities * Safely drive and operate company vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations. * Load and unload cargo when needed. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently. * Ensure deliveries are made accurately, professionally, and on schedule. * Navigate commercial routes efficiently throughout NYC, NJ, and the tri-state area. * Maintain accurate delivery documentation and inventory records. * Report mileage, fuel usage, tolls, and delivery-related expenses. * Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs. * Keep vehicle and equipment clean, organized, and in safe operating condition. * Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients. Licensing & Requirements * Valid CDL A driver’s license. • Must be bilingual, English and Spanish Clean driving record with no major violations. * Valid DOT Medical Card and insurability required. • Minimum 3+ years of professional driving experience. Physically able to sit for extended periods and assist with loading/unloading. * Knowledge of commercial driving standards and routing in NY/ NYC & NJ preferred. About the Role The Cook Unity Delivery Driver role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road and working in a hands-on warehouse environment. The primary responsibility is to operate a 26 ft refrigerated box truck for local deliveries. When not driving, you'll assist with day-to-day warehouse tasks, which could include organizing inventory, palletizing, and other general tasks Key Responsibilities: • Safely operate a 26 ft refrigerated box truck between CookUnity facilities and delivery points., • Ensure safe handling of temperature-sensitive products., • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs., • Refuel and clean the truck regularly to ensure operational readiness., • Maintain accurate delivery logs and records., • Receive and inspect incoming products., • Organize and store ingredients and packaging materials., • Pick and stage items for production or delivery., • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record., • Experience driving a 26 ft box truck (CDL not required, but a plus)., • Familiarity driving in NY (Experience driving in Brooklyn and Queens is a plus), • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cold storage when needed., • Dependable, proactive, and team-oriented., • Must be 21+ and able to pass a DOT physical exam.
