Job Description Project Overview HireScale is partnering with a high-growth enterprise SaaS organization to embed a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) directly into customer-facing and product-adjacent workflows. This is a full-service, cutting-edge engineering engagement focused on bridging the gap between complex enterprise customer needs and production-grade software solutions—delivered with speed, precision, and modern AI capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, solutions architecture, and applied AI. You will work directly with internal teams and enterprise customers to design, build, and deploy tailored software solutions that extend core SaaS platforms into real-world operational environments. Unlike traditional engineering roles, this engagement is highly embedded and outcome-driven. You are not just building features—you are solving real customer problems in production environments, often under tight constraints, ambiguous requirements, and high expectations for reliability and scale. A core part of this role is leveraging the latest AI technologies—LLMs, agentic systems, and AI-assisted development workflows—to accelerate solution design, implementation, and iteration. You will be expected to move fluidly between rapid prototyping and production-grade engineering, ensuring every solution is both fast to deliver and architecturally sound. This role requires strong experience in enterprise software or B2B SaaS environments, where system integration, security, scalability, and reliability are critical. You will frequently operate within complex customer ecosystems involving APIs, data pipelines, identity systems, and existing enterprise infrastructure. The ultimate goal is to translate complex enterprise needs into deployed, scalable software solutions—while continuously improving product capability through real-world deployment feedback. Scope of Work & Core Capabilities • Design and deploy production-grade software solutions directly within enterprise customer environments, • Translate ambiguous, high-complexity customer requirements into scalable technical implementations, • Build integrations across SaaS platforms, APIs, data systems, and enterprise infrastructure, • Develop full-stack solutions using modern engineering practices and cloud-native architectures, • Leverage cutting-edge AI tools and frameworks (LLMs, agentic workflows, AI orchestration systems) to accelerate development and solution design, • Rapidly prototype, validate, and productionize customer-specific use cases, • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to extend core platform capabilities based on field insights, • Work directly with enterprise stakeholders to troubleshoot, iterate, and refine deployed solutions, • Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, performance, and reliability, • Build reusable components, frameworks, and patterns that generalize across customers, • Operate in complex technical environments involving authentication systems, data pipelines, and distributed architectures, • Document architectures, deployment patterns, and integration guides for long-term scalability, • Act as a technical bridge between customers, product, and engineering teams Engagement Brief This engagement is focused on delivering real-world, production-grade software solutions inside enterprise environments while continuously improving platform capabilities through direct customer deployment. Success is measured by deployed outcomes, customer impact, system reliability, and the ability to scale solutions across multiple enterprise use cases. • Target Outcomes: Deployed enterprise SaaS solutions that solve real customer problems, improve operational efficiency, and extend core platform capabilities. Deliver scalable integrations, production-grade features, and AI-accelerated workflows that reduce implementation time and increase customer success outcomes., • Duration: 3–6 months (full-service engagement), • Commitment: Full-service, embedded engineering role, • Budget: Flexible based on scope, complexity, and enterprise deployment requirements, • Start Date: ASAP Portfolio Requirements: • 2–3 relevant projects in enterprise SaaS, platform engineering, solutions engineering, or forward deployed engineering roles, • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership (customer problem → system design → production deployment → measurable impact), • Experience building or integrating with large-scale B2B SaaS systems, • Proven use of modern AI tools (LLMs, agent workflows, AI-assisted development, or similar technologies), • Evidence of working in complex enterprise environments (APIs, integrations, security, scalability constraints), • Supporting materials such as architecture diagrams, production case studies, GitHub repositories, or technical documentation preferred About HireScale HireScale is redefining how people and organizations grow and work together.
