My Therapy Clubhouse is an energetic and warm pediatric occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy team located in the heart of Passaic. We are currently seeking pediatric speech and occupational therapy assistants to join our team!
Responsibilities: - Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in pediatric patients - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language goals - Provide speech therapy services to patients in a hospital or acute care setting - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure effective treatment outcomes - Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to monitor progress and modify treatment plans as needed - Document patient progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information in accordance with professional standards and facility guidelines - Provide patient and family education on communication strategies and techniques - Participate in case management activities to ensure continuity of care
Requirements: - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program - Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist - Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and language disorders - Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred - Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for speech and language disorders - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams - Ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity - Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads, documentation, and scheduling
