Job Description IMMEDIATE HIRING!!! Electronics Assembly Technician (Entry Level) 2nd Shift Available-$19/hr. Job Description This role focuses on assembling, testing, and packaging electronic products in a modern manufacturing environment. You will work with small components, follow detailed documentation, perform basic electrical tests, and use computer systems to record data and track products. The position is ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and an interest in electronics who are eager to learn and grow. Responsibilities • Assemble, rework, and reassemble electronic products according to schematics, assembly drawings, bills of material, and other applicable documentation., • Verify the accuracy and completeness of instruction documents, including schematics, assembly drawings, and bills of material, before and during assembly work., • Check all work for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications, ensuring products meet established standards., • Use a computer for data entry, including inputting serial numbers and other required information into the mainframe or production systems., • Package parts into kits for shipping, ensuring all required components and documentation are included., • Label and package finished products, including manuals and accessories, in accordance with documented procedures., • Perform testing activities such as current checks, burn-in tests, and operation of Automated Test Equipment as directed., • Verify assemblies and subassemblies against applicable documentation to ensure correct configuration and build., • Verify part numbers, revision levels, and quantities received or used to confirm they match production requirements., • Conduct routine electrical tests and separate failed assemblies from passed assemblies based on test results., • Record test data and results accurately in the appropriate systems or documentation., • Inform the supervisor or lead promptly of work-related problems, production issues, or quality concerns., • Report any discrepancies discovered during assembly, testing, or inspection to the supervisor or lead for resolution. Essential Skills • Interest in electronics and willingness to learn electronic assembly and testing processes., • Basic computer skills for data entry, tracking serial numbers, and using production systems., • Good manual dexterity to handle and assemble small parts accurately and safely., • High attention to detail to follow documentation, detect discrepancies, and ensure product quality., • Mechanical aptitude to understand how components fit and work together in assemblies., • Ability to use basic tools and follow written and visual instructions., • Ability to work effectively in a structured manufacturing environment and follow established procedures., • No prior experience required; must be trainable and open to learning new skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Interest in electronics preferred, including curiosity about how electronic products are built and function., • Experience reading or interpreting blueprints, schematics, or assembly drawings is a plus., • Familiarity with basic electrical testing concepts or equipment is beneficial., • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required., • Comfort working with Automated Test Equipment after training., • Strong communication skills to collaborate with supervisors, leads, and team members. Work Environment The role is based on a brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing floor built in 2018. The work is performed on 2nd shift, typically from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The environment is a modern manufacturing setting with clean, well-organized production areas and access to advanced equipment and Automated Test Equipment. The dress code is manufacturing casual, and employees receive an HME coat and safety glasses for use on the floor. The facility includes multiple break rooms with several microwaves and refrigerators, as well as self-serve kiosks offering sandwiches, instant meals, snacks, and drinks. Employees can choose between indoor and outdoor seating and enjoy multiple TVs in the common areas. Additional amenities include locker rooms and showers, a Chill Lounge for relaxation or more private conversations away from the manufacturing floor, a rooftop deck for lunch or breaks, and a nearby 3.5-mile hiking trail, all contributing to a comfortable and supportive work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.80/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
