Responsibilities include: • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction-related contracts and agreements., • Handling mechanic’s liens and bond claims, including performance bond and payment bond issues., • Managing claims involving changed conditions, unforeseen site conditions, and scope disputes., • Representing clients in disputes involving wrongful termination, abandonment, acceleration, delay, lost productivity, and liquidated damages., • Addressing claims related to defective plans, specifications, and design issues., • Assisting clients with bid protests and procurement-related disputes, when applicable., • Advising clients throughout all phases of construction projects to mitigate risk and resolve disputes efficiently., • Managing deadlines, filings, and procedural requirements across multiple jurisdictions., • Maintaining strong client relationships through responsiveness, strategic guidance, and adherence to client guidelines., • Admission to practice in the State of New York is required (Admission to practice in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania is a plus)., • At least 5 years of experience practicing construction law., • Demonstrated experience with construction contract drafting and review., • Proven experience handling mechanic’s liens, bond claims, and construction-related disputes., • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex legal and technical issues.
