Job Description: NDi is seeking an experienced Network Support Manager to oversee the successful operation of the FAA's network systems and services. The FAA's I&O Network Management branch encompasses LANs, WANs, Wireless infrastructure, and integrations with FAA Cloud Services (FCS), Colocation facilities, and FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI)/FAA Enterprise Network Services (FENS). This branch is responsible for the administration, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of the infrastructure that ensures the protection and efficiency of the FAA's network, including switches, routers, and wireless controllers/access points. Requirements: • U.S Citizenship required., • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance, • Bachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, and/or other IT degree (engineering, math, and science related degrees are considered acceptable alternative degrees)., • Eight (8) years of relevant experience., • Proven experience in network administration, including the management of switches and routers., • Familiarity with VOIP infrastructure support and maintenance., • Knowledge of industry-standard networking software (e.g., Cisco, Ironport, Aruba, Bluecoat, Infoblox)., • Experience with network security practices, including the application of security patches and coordination with IT security teams., • Strong understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 networking., • Experience conducting network assessments, testing of new technologies, and the development of report findings., • Experience in planning network cabling projects for Ethernet and Fiber cables., • Excellent documentation skills to detail network solutions, configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps., • Effective project management skills, including planning, designing, and implementing network solutions, forecasting project budgets, setting priorities, analyzing project risks, and managing resources., • Manage and plan the support, replacement, and maintenance of network switches and routers across multiple locations, including hardware lifecycle management (LCM), incident, and outage response., • Oversee and maintain the Voice Over IP (VOIP) infrastructure., • Oversee and manage the application of security patches to network switches and routers as needed., • Manage coordination with FAA IT Services security to provide support for certification and accreditation and other security initiatives., • Plan and manage the employment of industry-standard software such as Cisco, Ironport, Aruba, Bluecoat, and Infoblox to support network operations., • Oversee the planning and implementation of IPv6 upgrades to FAA IT Services networks., • Oversee the establishment and documentation of network standards., • Review and validate proposed network changes., • Ensure the documentation of network solutions, configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps., • Perform network assessments and provide comprehensive reports on findings and recommendations., • Support the testing of new technologies and solutions in the network domain., • Design and implement network solutions to meet organizational needs.
