Job DescriptionShift Leader – J.Bone’s Barbecue (Westfield, NJ)Part-Time / Full-Time · Thursday–Sunday · Great Pay J.Bone’s Barbecue is growing, and we’re looking for a Shift Leader who’s ready to jump in, lead from the front, and take pride in every detail of our operation. This position is a hybrid role—part cashier, part expo, part prep cook—and is perfect for someone who wants to lead every aspect of a fast-paced, high-quality barbecue restaurant. What You’ll Do • Lead the front-of-house during your shift, • Handle in-person, phone and online orders with speed and accuracy, • Run the line as an expeditor, ensuring food goes out on time and perfect, • Assist with prep work, • Support and guide team members, resolve small conflicts, and set the tone for excellent service, • Uphold J.Bone’s standards for cleanliness, consistency, and customer experience, • Learn the full operation so you can jump in wherever needed What We’re Looking For • Past shift leader or supervisory experience is REQUIRED., • ***ServSafe Manager Certification (current or recently expired)—must show you’ve held leadership responsibility, • Strong people skills — friendly, confident, and great under pressure, • A natural problem-solver with good judgment, • Self-motivated and able to manage a team, • Someone who takes pride in everything they do, no matter how small, • Hard-working, consistent, reliable, and eager to grow, • Must be available Thursday–Sunday, the days we are open, w/ possibility of more hours on other days Why Work With Us • Competitive pay (we pay great and reward hard work), • A positive, tight-knit, respectful work environment, • Real opportunities to grow as we expand, • Learn from a team that takes barbecue seriously and hospitality even more seriously If you’re driven, dependable, and want to be a key part of a growing, family-owned BBQ business, we’d love to meet you.
