Job Description This Licensed Veterinary Technician position is part of the Anesthesia Service and will assist in anesthesia interdepartmentally throughout AMC. It includes working 8.75 shifts for a total of 70 hours in a two-week pay period. The technician will support the Anesthesiologists with all the tasks associated with a both special routine =low risk and critical or emergent=high risk cases, including mitigating anesthesia, troubleshooting, developing drug and technique plans, and case training/mentoring new anesthesia personnel. Minimum Qualifications The ideal candidate for this position must have a minimum of one year of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician with exposure to veterinary anesthesia, surgery, emergency/critical care, or a closely related clinical environment. Candidates with advanced anesthesia skills and the ability to perform all the tasks associated with both low risk and with higher risk critical and emergent anesthesia procedures are encouraged to apply.
