PRINCIPAL MISSION: Under the direct supervision of the AVP of Pediatric Wellness, the Registered Dietitian plans, directs and provides nutritional care to patients conducts nutritional assessments and provides nutrition education for patients and members of the medical team. Responsibilities include providing appropriate Nutritional Care for the age populations served (infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric). PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Promote a safe, cooperative and professional health care environment to ensure optimal p[patient care., • Adheres to all hospital policies, procedures, rules and regulations, including but not limited to, absenteeism, ETIME, cellular telephone usage, dress code and rules of conduct., • Makes Customer Service a priority, treating customers (patients, visitors, and co-workers) in a professional manner exercising courtesy and tact. Effectively communicates with patients and others about UCHC services in their area(s) of expertise or responsibility and ensures that concerns, questions or issues reach the right person(s) in UCHC in a timely fashion,, • Interviews patients, families, and/or significant others to obtain diet history necessary in planning the patient's diet,, • Gathers appropriate anthropometric, biochemical, and physical data necessary in assessing patients' nutritional status and documents information accurate in the medical record., • Assesses patients' nutritional status based on standards of nutritional care and passing in a rate level of nutritional risk., • Develops appropriate care plans based on standards of care, including recommending rate diet or nutrition support,, • Reassesses patients based on level of nutritional risk or change in condition and modifies the plan of care as necessary., • Collaborates with members of the health care team on a regular basis in developing and implementing treatment plans and discussions., • Assesses patient/family/significant others' educational needs, readiness to learn, and barriers to learning; provides the education and documents information in the medical record., • Keeps current in the field of nutrition through continuing education to maintain registration status through the American Dietetic Association (75 Continuing Education Units/5-year period). WSFSSH develops, manages, and provides social services in housing for low-income persons, especially those who are older, who have experienced homelessness and who live with mental illness. Agency Responsibilities The Dietitian will work with agency staff, including the CFO, to track and monitor all agency food budgets. WSFSSH currently uses a central supplier, AFI, for its food purchases as well as other smaller food vendors. The responsibilities of the dietitian will include: • Monitor each program budget on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, • Provide information on budget status to appropriate staff, • Sign all food invoices on a biweekly basis for each building in accounting office., • Maintain regular contact with the Food Service Director on all food related vendors: central vendor, dairy, meat, and bread vendors., • Responsible for all vendor negotiations and evaluating/changing vendors based on needs of WSFSSH (pricing, ordering, delivery days, reliability, etc.) in conjunction with Food Service Director. Program Development WSFSSH is continually developing new programs and new housing. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Responsible for preparing, cooking, serving, and cleaning up for the assigned meals for women and children residing in a residential treatment facility., • Monitor inventory and amount of food that is being utilized, as directed by supervisor., • Perform cooking and food preparation duties, following the daily menu., • Ensure compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving., • Adhere to the developed nutritional standards based on accepted industry standards., • Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food in order to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner., • Assist with receiving food and beverage deliveries, and checking delivery contents in order to verify product quality and quantity., • Investigate, report to supervisor, and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations., • Keep records required by government agencies regarding sanitation, and food subsidies when appropriate., • Follow standards for personnel performance and customer service including review of work procedures and operational problems in order to determine ways to improve service, performance, and/or safety., • Maintain food and equipment inventories, and document inventory records as directed by supervisor., • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of workspace to be in compliance with all sanitation and department of health standards., • Work with operations supervisor and other personnel to schedule use of client volunteers and/interns assigned to the facility., • Must be formally trained in food service or culinary arts or have equivalent experience in food service or culinary arts, • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field (or comparable experience). Experience in Social service or public service sector a plus., • Must have active Food Protection Certificate, • Must be efficient, have strong work ethic and organizational skills. About this Role As a payor strategy leader, you will drive our payor strategy and help deepen and broaden our accessibility to more prospective patients. You have a proven history of leading payor contracting, including direct negotiations with national / local players and have strong knowledge of healthcare service payment strategies. What you'll be doing • Expand and develop a strategy for payor contracting across existing and new health plans, • Proactively research, identify, build, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at target health plans to identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership, • Develop individualized partnership proposals tailored to the needs of target health plans, keeping in mind the overall goal of increasing access to and delivering quality healthcare services, • Negotiate new contracts and more favorable rates to ensure maximum revenue and operational efficiency and compliance, • Direct and support the launch of new markets / new states via contracting with local, regional, and national payors, • Act as a highly metrics and process driven leader, optimizing collections and insurance / verification while working closely with the RCM team to develop a cohesive end to end reimbursement process, • Create, drive, and track KPIs and quality indicators for payors including contract volumes, rates and benchmarks, • Identify, track, and manage all contracts and contract terms; develop ongoing strategies for better contracting maintenance processes, • Maintain expertise with FFS and, when appropriate, risk based contracting (VBC) payments relative to dietician practice performance, member experience measures, clinical quality measures, and other related measures that drive total cost of care Fay is an equal opportunity employer.
