Located in suburban Kansas City, AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is searching for a dynamic, energetic, and team-oriented fellowship-trained hematology oncologist to join our team. This position would manage a variety of Hematologic and Oncologic conditions. The ideal candidate would have interest in malignant hematology and/or wish to subspecialize in a tumor site area of interest. We are looking to grow our specialty oncology programs in breast, thoracic, GI and GU. Highly qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply. We have six oncologists in our group today and we are continuing to expand, both in specialization and in our new $70 million Cancer Institute located on the Shawnee Mission campus. Our physician team continues to grow around Gyn Oncology, Breast Oncology, Thoracic Oncology, Neuro Oncology, and other surgical oncology specialties. Rotation of call would be shared with the other physicians in the practice, including weekends. New physician would have access to research, clinical trials, tumor boards and a multidisciplinary care team consisting of nurse navigators, dietician, social workers, oncology rehab, palliative medicine, and patient financial navigators.
