This is not a "dog walker" job - it's a hands-on opportunity to grow with us, take on more responsibility, and help shape how we run and improve our operations. You'll play a core role in: • Knowing all roles and aspects of the busines- As you continue into higher leadership positions, these experiences will allow you to understand the full scope of business needs, requirements, and team production, • Providing high-quality, safe, and fun care for dogs in daycare and overnight boarding, • Building trust and relationships with pets, pet parents and team members, • Learning front-desk operations, scheduling, client communication, and basic business systems, • Helping identify ways to improve safety, routines and customer experience What you'll do: • Supervise active play, feeding, and cleaning routines in a safe , structured environment, • Greet dogs and families warmlly; ensure smooth drop-offs and pickups, • Follow protocols for safety, cleanliness, and behavior (separating dogs appropriately, monitoring for stress, etc.), • Communicate updates and concerns with pet parents in a professional, empathetic way, • Assist with feeding, cleaning kennels/areas, and general housekeeping, • Learn and support scheduling, check-in/check-out proceedures and basic software tools, • Look for opportunities to help the business grow inside and out (referrals, sales, feedback, process suggestions)

Our pet sitters have been with us from 2 to 10 years. We are a full service, in the client's home, pet sitting service offering Vacation visits for dogs and cats, 12 hours Overnight stays and Midday dog walks. Job Summary We have an immediate opening for a Vacation and/or Overnight Pet Sitter in the North Decatur, Avondale Estates and Valley Brook area. The Vacation pet sitter works mostly in the mornings (7-10AM) and evenings (6-9PM) with bookings 7 days a week. The overnight sitter will arrive at the clients home 7-8 PM at night and will leave once the morning pet duties are completed. Responsibilities and Duties • The Vacation pet sitter visits client's homes in the morning (7-9AM) and evening (7-9PM) for dog visits with more flexibility for cat visits. Some dogs do require a midday walk as well. These visits are booked 7 days a week with weekends being busier., • Vacation pet sits include walking dogs or letting them out in yard, giving love and attention, feeding, refreshing water and bringing in clients mail and packages. With cats we are feeding, refreshing water and cleaning out litter boxes as well as attention for the kitties., • Overnight stays require the pet sitter to stay in the client's home from approximately 7PM to 7AM., • The sitter needs to be comfortable walking dogs in all types of weather., • The pets bond with their pet sitter so we are looking for a person that can commit to at least one year with this position, preferably longer. Qualifications and Skills • Previous Cat and Dog sitting/dog walking experience or pet ownership preferred., • Reliable car is an absolute must and smart phone is required., • Availability during the hours listed above., • Pet sitter should live in the area to reduce drive times., • Pet Sitter needs to be very dependable as the pets count on them to be there., • Pet sitter needs to be able to follow directions as each visit is unique., • Pet sitter needs to be available for summer and holiday sits as that is when we are the busiest. This is a part time Independent Contractor position. Pay is $11 per half hour plus 100% of tips.
