Position Overview We are hiring a Full-Time Dog Daycare Handler to support daily operations within our daycare environment. This is a hands-on, active role ideal for someone with prior daycare or boarding experience who is comfortable managing group play, maintaining structure, and working collaboratively with a team. Handlers are responsible for ensuring dog safety, maintaining a calm and controlled environment, and supporting daily facility operations. This is not an entry-level or temporary position. We are seeking someone looking for a long-term, stable role with our team. Schedule • Full-time hours (4–5 days per week), • Shifts may include morning, afternoon, or evening coverage, • Typical shift lengths range from 8–10 hours, • Schedule may vary based on operational needs, • Weekend availability is required, • Training takes place on active daycare shifts (approximately 2–4 weeks) Requirements (please read carefully) ✔ Minimum 6 months of dog daycare or boarding facility experience (mandatory) ✔ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based environment ✔ Strong dog handling and group management skills ✔ Reliable, punctual, and proactive ✔ Calm and confident handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments ✔ Detail-oriented with strong awareness of surroundings ✔ Flexible schedule availability Applications without prior daycare/boarding experience will not be considered. Responsibilities • Managing group behavior and maintaining a structured, calm environment, • Monitoring dogs for behavioral or medical concerns, • Rotating dogs between playgroups and rest periods as needed, • Cleaning and sanitizing playrooms, bedrooms, and common areas throughout the day, • Emptying and refreshing mop buckets and maintaining cleanliness standards, • Laundry and linen management, • Preparing meals and administering feeding instructions, • Supporting check-in and check-out processes, • Providing friendly, professional customer service to clients, • Answering phone calls and assisting with client inquiries as needed, • Sending photo and status updates to clients, • Supporting additional services such as relief walks, one-on-one playtime, and basic baths (including drying), • Assisting with opening and closing procedures for daytime operations depending on shift, • Collaborating with team members to complete shared tasks efficiently, • Communicating clearly during shift handoffs Physical Requirements You must be able to: • Safely lift and assist dogs up to 45 lbs, • Walk up to 3 dogs at a time during relief walks, • Stay active for extended periods (standing, walking, cleaning), • Work outdoors briefly in various weather conditions, • Perform repetitive cleaning, laundry, and sanitation tasks, • Comfortably handle pet messes and maintain high cleanliness standards Who You Are You might be a great fit if you: • Thrive in a fast-paced, team environment, • Stay calm and observant in group settings, • Take initiative and stay productive without constant direction, • Have strong awareness of dog behavior and group dynamics, • Take pride in keeping spaces clean and organized, • Communicate clearly and support your team, • Want to grow with a small, professional team Compensation & Growth • Starting at $18/hr with paid training, • Clear advancement path for senior handlers based on performance and responsibility, • Overtime opportunities when available, • Growth potential as we expand, • Stable, long-term position within a growing company To Apply Please send your resume and a brief note about your daycare/boarding experience and why this role is a good fit for you.
