Job Description Job Description Job Title: Split Shift Supervisor Reports to: Program Manager Job Summary: The shift supervisor is responsible for assuring staff’s compliance with daily routines and structure of the facility during the shift of duty and responsible for maintaining agency standards of quality of care and service provision for the children/youth residing in the facility. The Shift Supervisor will supervise all child care workers, their deployment and activities, uphold the daily programming, routines, discipline, program structure and tone. Essential Functions: • Ensure the supervision of all on-site staff and residents., • Maintain order, safety and security standards of the facility., • Uphold daily living routines, schedules, and procedures through supporting child care staff., • Mediate conflict, whether between staff or residents., • Complete all required documentation in a timely fashion, including incident reports., • Must be able to carry out all the duties and functions of child care staff., • Support Program Manager through informal supervision and by providing staff with ongoing feedback., • Maintains and reviews logbooks, and other relevant documentation to ensure the accuracy of those who completed it., • Ensure high standards of sanitary conditions throughout the facility including heavy cleaning and laundry., • Participate in the planning and execution of recreational activities along with specialist, and personal enrichment activities., • Participate in ongoing meetings, conferences, and training programs as required., • Communicate frequently with Program Manager, Program Director, Caseworker and support staff regarding pertinent information about residents., • Ensuring residents safety attend various appointments (including school, medical and court., • Attend mandatory training required by ACS, OCFS, and Agency., • Responsible for adhering to all ACS, OCFS and Agency regulations., • Utilize Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) to de-escalate incidents and protect the physical safety of children and staff., • Manage the peer group, understand the peer dynamic, promote and maintain a positive peer groups culture., • Provides documentation of supervision by maintaining a supervisory log of all staff supervised., • Conduct and complete annual performance assessments, • Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High School Diploma (Associated Degree preferred)., • Valid NYS Drivers License and clean driving record., • Ability to drive a 12-passenger m a strength based and van., • 2 years of related experience – preferred., • Must have excellent written and verbal skills., • Must have a commitment to work from a strength based and youth development, and trauma-informed perspective., • Ability to travel to all five boroughs., • Must be able to pass required TCI training and pass certification on an annual basis.
