Job DescriptionOur client is seeking an experienced facilities management leader to oversee operations at a large, complex infrastructure facility in Essex County, NJ. The ideal candidate excels in managing high-volume, technically sophisticated environments and has a strong background in coordinating both internal and external vendors. This is an excellent opportunity for a forward-thinking leader who values innovation, technology integration, and operational excellence. Responsibilities • Lead the Technical Services team and oversee all facility operations, maintenance, and building systems, • Manage design, testing, and commissioning of new systems, • Develop and monitor budgets, maintenance programs, and smart-technology initiatives, • Negotiate and manage service contracts, ensuring high-quality delivery from internal teams and external providers, • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders including internal and external, leadership and operational partners, • Direct lifecycle asset management activities and implement predictive maintenance through systems such as SCADA and MAXIMO, • Oversee financial approvals, HR duties, staff development, and performance management, • Coordinate maintenance activities and ensure all work is documented, compliant, and aligned with operational needs, • Introduce innovation and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costsCandidate Profile, • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; advanced degrees preferred, • 10 to 15 years of progressive facilities management or technical operations experience in complex environments, • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lifecycle asset management, and predictive maintenance, • Proficiency with SCADA and MAXIMO, • Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams and managing both in-house and outsourced resources, • Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environmentBenefit offerings for full-time employment include 10 paid Holidays, and 10 PTO days, prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
