Description Position Overview: The Life Coach at Lee Goodwin Residence provides comprehensive case management, outreach, and counseling to the residents at our supportive housing facility for young adults aging out of foster care between the ages of 18-28 year olds. The Life Skills Coach will provide referrals to: education and career programs such as: HSE, Vocational Training, Employment, and Internships. About the Position Brooklyn SolarWorks is seeking a motivated and self-starting individual to join our growing installer team. As a Solar installer, you will need to study all pertinent instructions, scope installation areas to determine their appropriateness, and then proceed to position devices. Responsibilities: - Maintain compliance with all OSHA safety rules and protocols for the company. - Packing out the equipment and materials out of the BSW trucks. - Assemble and install the support structure for solar PV panels according to building codes, manufacturing specification and standards, and waterproof them. - Drive to the associated job locations for each day’s appointment, as assigned by Crew lead/ Manager. - Build racking structures according to plan. - Measure, Cut and wire up solar arrays to BSW specs according to the 3-line diagram. - Communicate with the crew lead and rest of the team on the day's activities, progress and success. - Remain on site until the crew lead/ manager clears the team to leave. - Clean up job sites and lower materials from off the roof after job completion. - Carry out additional duties as required by Crew lead/ Manager. Required Skill Set - Valid CLEAN Driver’s license is required. - OSHA 30 certification + 10 SST is required. - 2 years of construction experience. - Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk and climb stairs/ladders. - Comfort with heights / ladders. - Attention to detail. - Excellent Time Management. - Ability to travel and work irregular hours. Organization Overview: The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York City’s leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults through-out Manhattan and New York City. Position Summary: Drives and maintains a vehicle used to deliver meals to homebound elders. Transports a team of delivers to complete all meal deliveries for their assigned routes within an established time frame. The Meals on Wheels driver is also responsible for an individual meal delivery route. Schedule: Between Monday through Friday 20-29 hours per week Hourly Rate: $20.00 Picks-up and delivers meals to homebound seniors. Picks-up and drops-off Delivery staff on the designated route. Observe client and their surrounding area; report concerns as needed. Keeps vehicles clean and in good operating condition, assist with the oversight of maintenance of vehicle. Inspects vehicles daily and reports any operational or structural defects immediately. Reviews vehicle documentation to ensure inspections, registration and insurance information is up-to-date. Maintains accurate daily log of meal deliveries and contributions collected. Assists in scheduling meal deliveries to minimize time and distance between delivery. Keeps daily gasoline and mileage records. Picks-up and returns vehicles to garage or parking place daily. Qualifications High School Diploma is preferred A valid NYS Driver’s License. 2 or more years of driving experience in NYC or high traffic areas. No more than 1 moving violation in 24 months. Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior supervisory experience is a plus. Demonstrated sensitivity to an aging population. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Physical Requirements Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Able to work either Thanksgiving of Christmas Day.
