P17 Solutions is seeking Junior / Mid-Level skilled Deployment Specialist to support the Enterprise Information Display System (EIDS) Program, a cornerstone of the FAA's NextGen initiative, and will serve as a critical liaison between program managers, site stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure EIDS systems are safely and efficiently deployed in accordance with FAA standards. The Deployment Specialist support the planning, execution, and sustainment efforts of E-IDS deployment across FAA facilities to ensure successful fielding with minimal operational disruption. This system provides Air Traffic Management (ATM) personnel with a modern, National Airspace System (NAS)-wide display of quick‑reference information, both static and real-time-features which can be filtered, sorted, and searched to deliver the right information at the right times. This role requires a balance of technical acumen, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and operational awareness to ensure readiness, site acceptance, and smooth transition to sustained operations. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, maintain, and oversee site deployment schedules, readiness checklists, and acceptance criteria in alignment with national program milestones and technical baselines., • Facilitate deployment readiness reviews, dry runs, and site implementation plan (SIP) development, including staffing needs, facility impact assessments, and contingency planning., • Act as primary liaison with local Air Traffic Control (ATC), Technical Operations (TechOps), Engineering Services, Safety representatives, and facility leadership to ensure site preparedness and effective coordination., • Collaborate with site implementation teams and national program staff to address site-specific challenges such as facility constraints, stakeholder concerns, and change requests., • Deliver timely daily/weekly deployment status updates to the E-IDS Program Management Office (PMO) and contribute to program-wide reporting., • Support deployment readiness reviews, dry runs, and site implementation plan (SIP) development, including staffing needs, facility impact assessments, and contingency planning., • Contribute to, maintain, and oversee site deployment schedules, readiness checklists, and acceptance criteria in alignment with national program milestones and technical baselines., • Engage with local Air Traffic Control (ATC), Technical Operations (TechOps), Engineering Services, Safety representatives, and facility leadership to ensure site preparedness and effective coordination., • Engage with site implementation teams and national program staff to address site-specific challenges such as facility constraints, stakeholder concerns, and change requests., • Support on-site or remote deployment activities, ensuring smooth execution of software integration, hardware installation, system adaptation, and configuration validation., • Support Joint Site Acceptance Testing (JSAT), operational cutover, and transition events with minimal operational disruption., • Ensure deployed systems meet site-specific performance requirements and validate system functionality post-deployment., • Support delivery of end-user training sessions, job aids, and quick reference materials to accelerate system adoption and operational confidence., • Provide post-deployment stabilization support, monitor system performance, and assist with identifying lessons learned for continuous program improvement., • Identify and track deployment risks, dependencies, and issues; escalate and drive corrective actions to closure using FAA-approved tracking systems., • Ensure compliance with FAA safety, cybersecurity, engineering, and configuration management requirements throughout the deployment lifecycle., • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Aviation Management, or a related field; or equivalent work experience., • Junior: 1-4 years of experience in system deployment, implementation, or field engineering, preferably in aviation, defense, or complex transportation environments., • Mid-Level: 5-9 years of experience in system deployment, implementation, or field engineering, preferably in aviation, defense, or complex transportation environments, • OR Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Aviation Management, or a related field; or equivalent work experience + 5 years of experience., • Knowledge of FAA terminal operations, NAS systems, or airport infrastructure., • Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary deployment efforts involving software, hardware, facilities, and operational stakeholders., • Strong understanding of FAA system deployment lifecycle, including installation, site acceptance, and transition-to-operations., • Exceptional communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage local and national stakeholder relationships., • Experience with EIDS/IDS4, STARS, TFMS, SWIM, WMSCR, ERAM, or other FAA systems such as ASDE-X or TBFM., • Familiarity with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS), deployment governance processes, and deployment-related documentation (e.g., Site Implementation Plans, Readiness Checklists)., • (Senior) Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP) or equivalent field deployment methodologies., • Knowledge of FAA cybersecurity requirements and physical infrastructure constraints at NAS facilities. Citizenship/Permanent Residency Requirement: All candidates must have the following to pass the Federal Background Investigation and obtain the FAA Public Trust security clearance. • Be a US Citizen, have a US Green Card, or a Non-immigrant Work Authorization (VISA)., • Has resided in the US for three (3) consecutive years. Travel Requirement: Frequent travel to FAA facilities or integration labs (estimated <25% - 50%). Work Environment: Full-time position with a standard flexible work schedule and cubicle setting.
