We are currently looking for friendly, reliable, and motivated individuals to join our Midtown Manhattan team. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service to enhance their visit Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for transactions Handle cash, credit card payments, and process refunds with precision and integrity Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring quality and safety standards are met Upsell menu items and promote specials to maximize sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cashier station, dining area, and food handling zones Support food service operations by bussing tables, managing food safety protocols, and ensuring quick turnaround times Manage basic math calculations for transactions and inventory counts efficiently Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations diligently Requirements Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail math is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key! Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; training will be provided if needed Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations swiftly Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations Experience in quick service or fast-food restaurants is advantageous; kitchen or café experience is a bonus Capable of standing for extended periods while maintaining energy and focus throughout shifts Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to delivering exceptional service!     Required Years of Experience 2 years Job Details Éclair Bakery in the heart of the Midtown East is looking for a Pastry Cook to complete its pastry team! Eclair Bakery is looking for a Pastry Cook who will assist The Kitchen Manager and Owner in handling all aspects of the daily pastry production to produce high quality classic French pastries. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, the pastry cook must have: Experience with making pastries, cakes and baked goods Passion for pastry arts Interest in learning new technical skills Ability to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the production and restaurant’s trading areas. Good Communication skills, both verbal and written. 2+ year of experience as pastry cook in a similar environment. Detailed oriented and motivated to be proactive in a fast-paced setting. Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours). Ability to lift up to 20lb Must be able to report for work early (4am start time). Responsibilities Assist in all areas of the pastry production, including but not limited to scaling, mixing, proofing, baking, decorating, and finishing. Assist in all areas of pastry production, and work service as needed. Perform each duty in accordance with the Executive Pastry Chef standards within company policies, practices, and procedures.
