Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Associate – Non-Conveyable Department Job Description This role focuses on handling products that are too large or too heavy for the conveyor system, such as pallet orders, equipment, and oversized items. As a Warehouse Associate in the Non-Conveyable department, you safely move, load, and unload non-conveyable products using various material handling tools while meeting hourly, daily, and weekly productivity goals in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Handle non-conveyable products that are too large or too heavy for the conveyor system, including pallet orders, equipment, plastic pools, and other oversized items., • Use a variety of material handling equipment and tools to move products throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently., • Load and unload non-conveyable products in shipping and receiving bays, ensuring accuracy and care in handling., • Perform order picking, order pulling, and packing tasks to support shipping, receiving, and inventory operations., • Support shipping and receiving activities by accurately processing incoming and outgoing products., • Use RF scanners to locate, pick, and verify products and to update inventory records as required., • Assist with general labor and production tasks as needed to support overall warehouse operations., • Maintain a high level of productivity, including meeting expectations such as moving and conveying high volumes of pieces per hour in truck loading areas., • Follow a strict break structure and adhere to all facility policies, including cell phone and no–ear buds rules., • Lift products weighing up to 60 lbs and move between areas of the facility as needed, including extensive walking based on facility size., • Work closely with loading and cross-dock areas, which are located near each other, to ensure efficient product flow., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.Essential Skills, • 0–2 years of experience in order picking, shipping and receiving, loading, unloading, or order pulling roles., • Experience in labor-intensive positions with the ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift., • Proven track record of good attendance and reliability., • Strong desire to learn, adapt, and remain flexible to meet hourly, daily, and weekly goals in a busy environment., • Understanding and adherence to strict break structures and workplace policies., • Previous experience working in or around trucks, including exposure to hot truck environments., • Ability to meet high productivity expectations, including moving and conveying large volumes of pieces per hour., • Capability to lift up to 60 lbs safely and repeatedly., • Comfort with extensive walking and moving between different areas of a large facility., • Basic experience with inventory, material handling, picking, packing, and general warehouse labor., • Ability to work scheduled weekend shifts from early morning to late afternoon.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience using RF scanners for picking, inventory, or shipping tasks., • Prior exposure to forklift or other mobile equipment is a plus, even if not in a dedicated equipment operator role., • Background in production or cross-dock environments., • Familiarity with packaging and material handling best practices., • Comfort working in climate-controlled environments that may fluctuate near bay doors., • Ability to follow dress code guidelines, including appropriate footwear and attire.Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a climate-controlled warehouse environment, with some temperature fluctuation near bay doors and occasional exposure to the elements when doors are open, though work is not performed outside. You will spend much of your time in the Non-Conveyable area, working near loading and cross-dock zones that are located close together. The facility is large, and the position involves significant walking and movement between areas. Work involves handling heavy and oversized items, loading and unloading trucks, and working in the backs of trucks that can be very warm. The shift schedule is B1: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The dress code allows jeans and shorts, with a requirement for closed-toe shoes or boots and no offensive clothing. Cell phones must remain out of sight during working hours, and ear buds are not permitted. The environment emphasizes safety, productivity, and adherence to structured breaks and facility policies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marcy, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
