The successful candidate will have a proven track record in customs brokerage, a thorough understanding of import/export processes, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. Additionally, the Customs Entry Writer will be expected to stay current with changes in customs laws and regulations, provide guidance to clients on compliance issues, and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods across borders. Review and verify commercial invoices and shipping documents. Calculate duties, tariffs, and taxes on goods. Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely clearance. Provide training and support to junior staff members. Liaise with freight forwarders and carriers. Handle inquiries and provide excellent customer service. Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate. Assist in audits and investigations related to customs compliance. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices.
