Job Description Manage daily tasks, workflows and operations of the Consumer Loan Processing team! Seeking 2 - 5 years minimum supervisory experience with a focus on loan processing in a high-volume processing environment. Past experience processing auto, lines of credit, HELOC, and mortgage loans in order to manage 10+ Loan Processors performing these tasks. Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to assist Atlanta Postal Credit Union to live out our Mission, “To help our members achieve financial success by providing exceptional products and service.” The Consumer Loans Manager oversees the retail loan processing team, providing leadership in managing departmental processes, procedures, and regulatory compliance. This role carries responsibilities that ensure the loan processing function runs efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with organizational standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned. • Adhere to and deliver on APCU Center Parc’s core values:, • Serve Exceptionally, • Commit to Better, • Find the Fun, • Invest in Integrity, • Follow the Numbers, • Go Forth and Conquer, • Protect with Passion, • Manage processing of all direct and indirect loans and ensure establishment and adherence to standards and guidelines that mitigate risk while maximizing the overall member experience., • Ensure that all activities and operations of the consumer loan processing department are conducted in compliance with all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory restrictions., • Monitor the daily tasks and responsibilities of loan processors., • Exercise personnel authority, including staffing, performance appraisals, salary administration, and attendance., • Evaluate and implement procedure changes to improve operational efficiency and provide updates to other departments when they are impacted by loan processing procedural changes., • Ensure satisfactory and timely resolution of complaints and problems affecting members., • Facilitate communications among team members and other departments to ensure smooth loan processing operations., • Ensure that the team addresses member inquiries, and internal stakeholder inquiries and commits to quick resolution of any issues that may impair turnaround time for the processing of loans., • Establishes efficient and effective processes and procedures for escalations related to the processing of individual loans., • Collaborate with AVP Loan Operations to streamline loan processing workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce turnaround times, improve the member experience, and ensure regulatory compliance., • Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy in loan processing and reductions in errors, • Manage and mentor the loan processing team fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement., • Effectively use written and oral communication skills in daily correspondence and completion of tasks and consistently presents a positive image of the Credit Union., • Exhibit strong analytical and critical thinking skills., • Demonstrate a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task, • Adhere to the provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Military Lending Act (MLA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Housing Act (FHA), the Universal Code (UCC), Regulation Z, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA),and any other state or federal regulation associated with the granting of credit that are applicable to this position., • Comply with all aspects of BSA/AML, OFAC, as they relate to this position., • Occasional travel up to 10%; Occasional night or weekend work hours., • Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: Provides leadership, guidance, development, evaluation, and performance management for 5 – 12 direct reports assigned to the loan processing department. May manage day-to-day tasks of others through indirect reporting relationships or through a matrixed management approach. REQUIRED Education and/or Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field or 2 additional years of specific supervisory work experience in lieu of degree, • 3 to 5 years of consumer lending within a credit union or financial institution, • 2 years of supervisory experience with a focus on loan processing, • Familiarity with federal and state regulations governing lending practices, • Relative certification(s) for the position, • 5 years of supervisory experience with a focus on loan processing, • Familiarity with both direct and indirect lending, • Familiarity with Symitar as a core banking platform and experience of various lending software or applications such as Meridianlink, Clutch, Fuse, Lendisys, etc. Physical Job Requirements: Subject to business needs the position may require non-standard work hours (occasional evenings and/or occasional weekends), overnight travel less than 10%, and the ability to lift and carry weights of 5 to 20 pounds. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, or stoop as needed and the ability to interact with people in writing, over the phone, and in person as required.
