Job DescriptionResident Manager - (Superintendent) Brooklyn, NY | $100,000–$110,000/year | Full-Time (On-Site) About the Company EqualAccess is partnering with a New York–based, vertically integrated real estate organization seeking an experienced and dynamic Resident Manager (Superintendent) to oversee a newly developed multifamily property in Brooklyn. With over 100 years in business, the company develops, owns, and manages thoughtfully designed residential, retail, and mixed-use communities throughout New York City. Its diverse portfolio includes luxury rental residences, condominiums, retail spaces, destination hospitality concepts, and housing for low-, moderate-, and middle-income residents through strategic partnerships with public agencies and nonprofit organizations. Role Summary The Resident Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a high-rise multifamily property, ensuring timely maintenance response, strong resident satisfaction, and compliance with NYC safety and regulatory standards. This role leads on-site maintenance staff, oversees preventative maintenance programs, monitors building systems, and serves as a key operational partner to Property Management and Facilities leadership. Overtime and schedule flexibility may be required based on operational needs. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and lead maintenance team response to resident service requests, ensuring timely and high-quality repairs * Diagnose and repair HVAC (PTAC/Heat Pump), plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general carpentry systems * Ensure vacant units are prepared and delivered move-in ready * Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and respond to alerts; escalate critical issues as needed * Establish and maintain preventative maintenance schedules and conduct regular inspections of building systems and common areas * Ensure compliance with NYC Local Laws, safety regulations, and emergency response procedures * Coordinate daily operations with Property Management, Facilities leadership, vendors, and residents * Maintain inventory of tools and supplies and oversee vendor work as required Qualifications * 3–5+ years of recent hands-on building operations or property management experience * High School Diploma or GED required * 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred * Strong working knowledge of building systems and NYC Local Codes/Laws * Skilled in HVAC (PTAC/Heat Pump), plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry/construction * Experience with BuildingLink, BMS systems (e.g., Automated Logic), LogCheck, Procore or similar platforms preferred * FDNY Certificates of Fitness Required: S-12 (Sprinkler), S-13 (Standpipe), S-95 (Fire Alarm Systems) * FDNY Certificates of Fitness Preferred / As Required: P-99 (Low PSI Burner Operator), F-01 (Fire Guard Impairment), G-60 (Hot Works), P-98 (Fuel-Oil Piping & Storage Systems) * Ability to respond to emergencies and work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays * Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills * Reliable, punctual, and professional Location: Brooklyn, NY, Schedule: On-site, Mon–Fri (9 AM–5 PM) Overtime and schedule flexibility may be required based on operational needs.
