Job DescriptionVolt is immediately hiring Forge Die Maintenance I in South Gate, CA. As a Forge Die Maintenance I, you will: • Possesses thorough knowledge of die polishing and grinding techniques., • Performs liquid penetrant inspection of dies to determine wear, cracks, and other defects; documents die condition., • Identifies defects and die wear; labels dies with job number and function., • Selects abrasive tools according to operation and specified dimensions., • Sands cavity and gutter surfaces to facilitate metal flow during forging., • Uses hand tools (files, stones, emery cloth) to smooth surfaces., • Operates pressure wash die cleaning tank., • Supports other tooling-related duties as required.Uses powered hand grinders to:, • Remove beads, • Grind curved surfaces to specified radii, • Eliminate machining marks, • Smooth die surfacesCertificates or Licenses:, • Must possess Shultz Steel Company certifications in:, • Overhead Crane Operation, • Mobile Equipment (Forklift)Experience & Education:, • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Pay Range: $19.00 to $26.00/hr *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
