Even though we started as a Direct-to-Consumer & Retail Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), most of our customers are buying Ready-to-Eat at pop up events across Brooklyn. This year, we are entering our next phase of growth and have been selected by Smorgasburg to be a food vendor. We're looking for a Head Chef & Head Baker to lead the kitchen, raise the bar on quality and food safety, and build systems that allow us to increase production without sacrificing craftsmanship. We currently operate out of a shared kitchen space and we're not a restaurant. This is not a line cook role. This is a builder role. The Role You will own day-to-day kitchen leadership, production execution, and operational excellence. You will turn recipes into repeatable systems, elevate standards, and scale output while protecting product integrity. You will report directly to the Founder. What You’ll Own 1. Kitchen Leadership • Lead, train, and schedule kitchen crew, • Build a culture of accountability, precision, and urgency, • Develop clear SOPs for fillings, dough, assembly, proofing, and baking, • Ensure consistent crimping, portioning, and finishing standards 2. While this starts as an entry level role, we are looking for longevity. We would like to internally train a few select candidates from an assistant role to a managing director position within the span of a year. It may seems fast, but this is the speed our clients are looking to grow and we have never backed down from a challenge yet. Our ideal candidate: • Passionate about the causes we represent, • Puts integrity above all else, • Great team player, • Comfortable communicating with all different demographics, • Excited to take on leadership responsibilities, • Able to be competitive, but not cut throat, • Not scared of a challenge, • Is local or can be in NYC within 2-3 weeks Responsibilities include: • Set up and execute marketing presentations on behalf of our clients, • Provide daily feedback to team lead and weekly feedback to the account manager, covering all KPIs required, • Site relationship management, • Travel for networking events once every 2-3 months, • Conduct monthly presentations to other team members to check in on progress, • Keep up up date with client initiatives, • Prepare market research prior to any new events, • Suggest additional sources of revenue We are new to Nashville and looking to build a strong foundation we can grow from. All of our employees receive paid training, are offered a base salary with the opportunity to earn bonuses and benefits after 90 days.
