Job DescriptionDescription: As the Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Food and Beverage Manager with the short and long-term planning oversight of the Food & Beverage operations in the front and back of the house. As F&B Supervisor, you will prepare and cook food to order requiring short preparation time. Your specific duties in this role will include: • Assist in the training of all Bistro staff & Banquet staff, i.e. position training, brand training, food safety training., • Assist in ensuring food quality, sanitation and proper food handling standards are being met., • Assist in the set-up and closing of the kitchen area using the provided checklists., • Prepare and serve Bistro and banquet fare per menu and presentation specifications using oven, microwave & Turbo Chef., • Help work and prepare food for Banquet/ catered events., • Prepare "Market" fare per menu specifications., • Maintain food safety through adherence of all food safety policies and sanitation standards., • Wash dishes and serving utensils as needed., • Maintain proper supply levels of china, glass and silver., • Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage areas., • Maintain the cleanliness of work area and food preparation equipment., • Assist with maintaining food cost controls while maintaining quality., • Assist in ensuring effective departmental communication through logs, daily stand up meetings and monthly department meetings., • Perform various administrative tasks including maintain an accurate inventory of supplies, processing department payroll, maintaining logs, processing invoices and handling any accounting and purchasing functions; FOSSE PMS preferred, not required, • Assist in implementation of Bistro seasonal menus., • Maintain proper inventory levels by purchasing and receiving food, beverage and general supplies., • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement, • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary, • Ability to work well in stressful situations, • Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service Training:Island Hospitality is committed to employee development and displays that commitment with a formalized training and development program providing a clear path for any employee with a desire and aptitude to thrive in the hospitality business. Adheres to the Plan of Treatment in the provision of care., • Initiates contact with the physician and Clinical Care Manager in a timely manner, utilizing professional judgment., • Utilizes a systematic, individualized, goal/outcome driven approach in developing the therapy plan of care and in the delivery of therapy services. Ensures proactive revision or addition to the plan of care to meet the patient/client needs as assessed or diagnosed, or as required by policy/regulation., • Initiates and responds appropriately to contact with/from the patient/client, physician, Clinical Care Manager, other members of the healthcare team, in a timely manner as regard patient/client/family needs and status changes., • Acts as a liaison between the patient/client, physician, Clinical Care Manager, other members of the healthcare team and the community in assuring effective care coordination, appropriate resource referrals, and supervision of paraprofessional staff. Provides paraprofessional staff with a personal care plan that reflects the current plan of care, as it relates to therapy. Supervises and evaluates the performance of paraprofessional staff, related to physical therapy directives., • The Physical Therapist will prepare, submit, and maintain documentation as required by the Company., • Accurately and thoroughly documents patient care observations, interventions and evaluations on day services are rendered., • Assures that interim (verbal) orders obtained from the physician are accurately transcribed for implementation and/or that Clinical Care Manager is contacted with information to obtain physician’s order. Additional Abilities The candidate will have one year of acute care or home care experience in their area of specialty. Good organization and communication skills and ability to function with minimal supervision and provide a reliable means of transportation are required.
