Project Overview We are seeking a Field Superintendent to join a mission-critical construction program located near Amarillo, Texas. This role is fully site-based and requires leadership in coordinating day-to-day field execution, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining schedule alignment, and driving quality construction delivery. The Field Superintendent plays a key leadership role, directing subcontractors and trade partners across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP scopes in a complex data center environment. Role’s Responsibilities * Oversee and coordinate daily construction activities across CSA and MEP trades. * Direct subcontractors and field staff to ensure compliance with design, codes, specifications, and schedules. * Drive execution of short-interval plans and look-ahead schedules aligned with the master schedule. * Monitor productivity and implement corrective actions to address constraints. * Lead daily coordination meetings, site walks, and safety briefings. * Enforce project safety protocols, participate in audits, and support incident investigations. * Monitor quality of installations, collaborate with QA/QC teams, and manage punch lists and turnover milestones. * Support commissioning by ensuring system readiness and subcontractor participation. * Maintain detailed daily reports, progress documentation, and as-builts. * Provide field feedback on RFIs, submittals, cost estimates, and construction documentation. * Resolve design and constructability issues in the field. * Communicate progress, constraints, and labor updates to the Building Superintendent. * Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to maintain alignment and resolve challenges. Must Have Qualifications * Experience: Minimum 5 years of field supervision in construction, with at least 3 years on hyperscale or mission-critical data center projects (preferred). * Experience: Strong background managing structural steel, MEP systems, utilities, and large-scale concurrent scopes. * Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction means and methods, trade sequencing, commissioning workflows, and survey techniques. * Certification: OSHA 30 required. * Education: High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent craft-level work experience strongly preferred. * Software Knowledge: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Procore, and Primavera P6. * Skills: Ability to interpret design documents, schedules, and specifications; strong observation and coordination skills. * Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead teams under pressure with professionalism. * Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather, climb ladders/scaffolds, enter confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and access all levels of a construction site. Preferred Qualifications * Experience: Prior leadership on hyperscale or large mission-critical data center projects. * Software Knowledge: Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. * Experience: Strong record of collaboration with QA/QC and commissioning teams.
