Job DescriptionDescription: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team as a LVN/Direct Care Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients while overseeing direct care staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. Fulltime position available: • Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm As the LVN/Direct Care Supervisor, your responsibilities may include but are not limited to the below: • Responsible for the day to day operations of the facility, • Manage and supervise a team of mental health paraprofessionals, • Provide nursing services to the crisis respite program including but not limited to: Physical assessments, timely documentation, as well as teaching and assisting adults with mental illnesses., • Must be on duty 40 hours per week and must be available by telephone after hours and on weekends., • Correctly filling out MARS forms on a continual basis and being in constant contact with doctors, pharmacists, caseworkers, etc. with concern to the care of the residents., • Maintains Universal Precaution Guidelines and safety measures according to Agency policies and procedures., • Keeping track of all doctor’s appointments and follow-ups, including prescriptions, notes, orders, etc. given by a doctor or pharmacist as it pertains to the residents., • Train and mentor new staff members, fostering a positive and supportive work environment., • Assists in the orientation and training of new personnel in medication management to include supervision of self-observation of medication by the residents of their individual medications., • Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect., • Responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents at all times., • Handles client health information at a minimum necessary to document data, access and carry out responsibilities of the position, maintains client confidentiality., • Working hand in hand with the Behavioral Health Authority on all issues and concerns of the residents., • Immediately report all abuse, neglect or exploitation and medication errors to The Wood Group’s Client Rights Officer and facility administrator., • Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.
