Job DescriptionJob Title: Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate Job Description This role combines medical supply delivery and light warehouse work to support hospitals across the greater Houston area. You will load a sprinter van with small medical device products, drive predetermined routes to local hospitals, and ensure their medical supply closets remain fully stocked. The position also involves basic inventory management, documentation, and occasional warehouse cleaning and quarterly inventory tasks. Responsibilities • Load a sprinter van each day with small medical device products needed for scheduled hospital routes., • Drive throughout the greater Houston area, including locations from Lake Jackson to Conroe and Baytown to Katy, following predetermined and efficient delivery routes., • Obtain and maintain hospital badges to access treatment centers and medical supply closets as required., • Enter hospital treatment areas and visually inspect medical closets to identify items that are in short supply., • Record and track which products and quantities are needed, then return to the van to retrieve the appropriate items, using a dolly when necessary., • Restock hospital medical closets in an organized and accurate manner, ensuring items are properly placed and easy to find., • Collect patients’ medical paperwork as directed, return it to the truck, file it correctly, and submit it to the designated manager., • Use Microsoft Teams and other computer tools to track inventory, complete daily reporting, and log routes and activities., • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inventory movements, and any issues encountered during routes., • Keep the sprinter van organized, ensuring the storage area is arranged in a logical and efficient way while maintaining overall cleanliness., • Coordinate with local warehouse staff, another driver, regional leadership, office personnel, and hospital staff to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries., • Perform basic warehouse duties when not on the road, including cleaning the warehouse and assisting with quarterly inventory counts., • Follow all safety guidelines for driving, loading, unloading, and handling medical supplies., • Be available for on-call rotations as required, responding to after-hours needs when contacted.Essential Skills, • Proven ability to safely drive throughout the Houston area, including longer routes across the greater metro region., • Previous delivery driving experience, ideally involving routes and time-sensitive deliveries., • Strong computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Teams for inventory tracking, reporting, and route logging., • Ability to organize and maintain inventory in a vehicle and warehouse setting., • Effective communication skills for interacting with hospital staff, office personnel, and internal team members., • Neat and professional appearance suitable for working in hospital environments., • Capability to stock shelves, handle light-weight medical supplies, and manage associated paperwork., • Comfort working in a role that combines driving, inventory, and basic warehouse duties.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience delivering medical supplies or working in a medical supply environment., • Extensive experience using Microsoft Teams and related computer applications for documentation and communication., • Background in roles such as delivery driver, route driver, warehouse associate, or similar positions (for example, experience with parcel or logistics companies)., • Experience with stocking, organizing inventory, and working with multiple product types and sizes., • Familiarity with using a dolly and other basic material-handling tools., • Strong attention to detail when handling medical paperwork and inventory records., • Self-motivated and able to plan and coordinate daily routes efficiently with limited supervision.Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a full-time, day-shift position operating Monday through Friday, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the option to start earlier if you can effectively coordinate and plan your route. The role is primarily road-based, driving an approximately 8'6" tall sprinter van and accumulating around 2,000 to 3,000 miles per month. Routes are generally predetermined and efficient but may change based on operational needs. The van’s storage area can be organized according to your preferences, as long as it remains orderly and functional. All fuel, oil changes, and basic vehicle maintenance are covered through a company gas card. The supporting warehouse in Stafford is small, with lightweight products and approximately 248 different items, many of which are similar but vary by size. You will work closely with a small local team that includes another driver, regional leadership, and office staff, as well as hospital personnel during deliveries. The dress code includes a branded polo, tennis shoes (no clogs or similar footwear), and professional pants or jeans in cooler weather, with professional cargo shorts allowed in warmer months, similar to typical parcel delivery attire. The role includes an on-call component that offers a weekly on-call stipend and automatic overtime pay for any hours worked while on call. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Amarillo, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
