Summary The Heavy Equipment Operator – Organics processes green waste and other organic material by using loaders and various sorting, grinding, and screening equipment throughout the day to produce high quality compost and mulch. Essential Job Functions: • Maintain safe operating conditions of equipment and area at all times, • Perform pre and post trip inspection of all equipment operated daily, • Work with peers as a team in completing major tasks successfully, • Perform material grading and properly process material to create final product, • Immediately report any unsafe equipment or actions to direct supervision, • Work overtime as needed, • Performs other duties as needed by direct supervision.
