Job DescriptionSalary: $17.00 - $19.50 Schedule: This position follows a variable schedule based on client needs and assigned service days. Typical shifts occur Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with occasional adjustments for community activities or client employment schedules. Full-Time positions average 30 hours per week with opportunities to work up to 40 hoursdepending on program needs and client schedules. Program Purpose: The Employment Dream Coach plays a vital role in advancing CCIs mission to prepare individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for meaningful, gainful employment and greater independence within their communities. This position helps clients build the skills, confidence, and habits necessary to overcome barriers to employment, thrive in the workplace, and lead fulfilling, self-sufficient lives. Job Description: The Employment Dream Coach empowers clients to succeed by providing individualized coaching and hands-on instruction in real-world environments. Working on a one-to-three ratio, the Coach trains, supports, and equips clients using a blend of teaching techniques such as modeling, goal setting, affirmations, redirection, and community integration. Coaches guide clients in developing both the soft skills (communication, teamwork, professionalism) and hard skills (task performance, productivity, time management) required for long-term employment success. Through consistent mentorship, the Employment Dream Coach promotes accountability, self-confidence, and community engagement as foundations for independence. Responsibilities and Duties: • Empower clients to identify and overcome personal and professional barriers that may impact employment or community participation., • Provide individualized hands-on training in workplace and life skills, reinforcing habits that promote independence, responsibility, and professionalism., • Support clients in developing employment readiness skills, such as attendance, punctuality, hygiene, social interaction, and task follow-through., • Implement the CCI Case Management Model by identifying needs, setting clear goals, and creating action plans to help clients achieve success., • Provide safe and reliable transportation to and from client homes, training sites, and community activities while adhering to all safety protocols., • Accurately record and submit mileage reports, progress notes, and daily documentation on time., • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and community partners to support client development and coordinate services., • Maintain detailed records of client progress, training outcomes, and behavioral observations to ensure quality service delivery and compliance., • Participate in client-related meetings, including annual, quarterly, and IDT meetings, to discuss progress and refine training objectives., • Model professional behavior, integrity, and strong work ethic, setting a consistent example for clients to follow., • Maintain confidentiality and uphold all CCI policies, procedures, and standards., • Participate in professional development and staff trainings to continuously improve service quality., • Support CCIs mission by fostering client engagement in community activities that promote social integration and employment opportunities., • Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred., • At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, vocational training, or teaching., • Valid California drivers license, minimum of three years of driving experience, clean DMV record, reliable transportation, and current vehicle insurance., • Current CPR and First Aid certification required., • Background Clearance:Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background clearances, including fingerprint clearance through the California Department of Justice (DOJ), as required by Title 17 and the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) regulations for service providers working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Positions Supervised: None Physical Demands and Working Environment: Environment: Work is performed indoors and outdoors with distractions; extended periods of time viewing computer monitor; possible exposure to dissatisfied individuals, in close proximity to others, and sitting for periods of time in vehicle transporting clients in your personal vehicle. Physical: Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. by self, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, bending, pulling, squatting and working outside in the elements required; repetitive motion may be necessary. Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents; and to operate assigned equipment and a motor vehicle.
