(WSFSSH) is a community-based organization whose mission is to provide safe, affordable housing with supportive services within a residential setting which enhances the independence and dignity of each person. WSFSSH develops, manages, and provides housing for low-income older persons, individuals living with serious mental illnesses, homeless individuals and families. Today we house over 2,500 people in 30 buildings located on the Upper West Side, Harlem, Chelsea, and the Bronx. All WSFSSH housing is developed and run by WSFSSH. JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller is responsible for managing all aspects of financial leadership including ensuring the accurate and timely closing of all accounting books, overseeing the Government Grants and Contracts billing process, preparing of financial reports, monthly account reconciliations and analysis, overseeing the preparation and analysis of cashflow variances, directing all activities with external auditors and tax preparation, and providing financial guidance to the Finance Team. This role has direct oversight of the Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Grants and Government Contracts departments including management of staff, and an operating budget of approximately $70-$80M per year. This is a hybrid position working four days per week in the office on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and one day from home. RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop and/or enhance, implement and enforce the organization's policies and procedures by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the Finance Team., • Identify and implement changes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the departments overseen by the Controller. This includes the adoption of new systems where appropriate., • Supervise contract amendments, modifications, and submission of financial reports to all public and private funding sources., • Responsible for preparing Consolidated Financial Reports (CFR) using New York State CFR software., • Lead the annual audit process and act as the key liaison with WSFSSH’s external auditors., • Perform annual close-out activities and assist multiple audits by regulatory agencies and year end annual audits., • Oversee the Accounts Payable function and ensure timely and effective cashflow management., • Oversee the Contracts and Grants department, ensure financial compliance with grants and contracting agencies, and maximize contract allocations and collections., • Oversee the Accounts Receivable Department, ensure compliance with required Limited Partnership financial reporting, audits, reconciliations, delinquency reports, billings and new capital projects, • Oversee the Payroll department., • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's accounting function and performance., • Manage and direct the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely completion aligned with GAAP., • Conduct monthly review of all financial activities: identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, reconcile intercompany accounts, and records journal entries., • Oversee payroll tax filings, union filings, and all government mandated tax and compliance filings., • Monitor financial activities for new projects and developments including preparation of initial audit, cost certification and compliance reporting., • Manage Individual, Private Foundation and Pledge giving, • Exercise a high degree of professionalism, ethics, and self-motivation using personal initiative to identify and recommend best practices. The internship will culminate in the completion of a deliverable and presentation of findings. PROJECT SUMMARY – SURVEY OF COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL LAND USE PLANNING IN NEW YORK STATE The goal of this project is to gain a broad understanding of how counties and municipalities across New York State exercise their control over physical development in their jurisdictions through land use planning and other policy, regulatory, and administrative mechanisms and controls. The deliverable(s) may take a variety of forms (e.g. a report, a PowerPoint/presentation, interactive maps and/or infographics, quantitative datasets, etc.) but should, to the greatest extent possible, provide a survey of county and municipal land use policies in New York State. This survey will identify the mechanisms and/or controls used in each county and major municipality, highlighting key similarities, differences, and any potential gaps or contradictions. The deliverable(s) should specifically address how the mechanisms and/or controls identified impact housing development (especially affordable and/or otherwise regulated), particularly as it relates to climate, racial, and economic justice. This work will inform ongoing work to identify ways that the state may play a role in advancing and promoting more uniform land use planning to ensure more inclusive and equitable communities across the state. Furthermore, the internship entails providing research assistance in projects that focus on strategies to expand the supply of housing, evaluating affordability outcomes, estimating construction costs, and demographic and immigration changes in New York State. Tasks may include compiling data from first-hand and other sources, analyzing and summarizing data (including spatial data and visualization), and surveying the literature. The deliverables may take different forms depending on the project, and include data tables, PowerPoint slides, maps, and word-processed documents. Beyond the basic research component of this project, and depending on the intern’s skills and interests, they may choose to use a variety of analytic tools and techniques to produce the deliverable(s): quantitative analyses using Excel, R, etc.; geospatial analyses using ArcGIS, AGOL, etc. Prospective interns with an interest and educational background in land use law, urban planning, geospatial analysis, or housing policy are encouraged to apply, as this project will likely involved closely scrutinizing local land use regulations. Job Description The Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer (CCO) is responsible for overseeing all credit and portfolio risk management functions for LIIF’s national lending platform. Reporting to the President, the CCO serves as a key strategic leader responsible for maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio, minimizing credit losses, and ensuring sound credit risk management, all in support of LIIF's mission to advance equitable community development. The CCO will oversee credit policy, underwriting standards, portfolio risk management, and asset management functions while serving as a strategic partner to lending, impact, finance, and executive leadership teams. The successful candidate will balance prudent credit risk management with LIIF's commitment to expanding access to capital and achieving meaningful community impact. In addition to leading credit functions, the CCO will help advance LIIF's Impact, Risk & Profitability (IRP) framework, ensuring that credit and portfolio management decisions appropriately reflect organizational priorities around equity, impact, sustainability, and financial performance. CAMBA’s Housing Services CAMBA’s supportive/affordable housing portfolio consists of over 9,000 units served including 4,500 contracted units and 4,500 community units, touching approximately 20,000 lives annually. There are currently 44 congregate sites across five boroughs with 4 in the pipeline. The scattered site units account for 800 of the contracted units with property management functions provided by CAMBA (rent collection, utility payment and maintenance/repairs). What are the Qualifications for the Position: • 5 years of applicable experience., • Experience in clinical supervision, housing issues and working with individuals living with mental illness, substance abuse issues, HIV/AIDS and other special needs., • Knowledge of supportive housing services and operations., • Experience in Program and Staff Development Minimum Education/Experience Required: • Licensed Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field. Compensation: $160,000 - $175,000 annually When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The Shift/Safety Supervisor is directly responsible for the management and supervision of the Safety Monitors on duty on their assigned shift. Monitors all activities to ensure safety in the physical plant and civility amongst clients, visitors and staff. • Supervises Safety Monitors and ensures all safety and security duties are performed as per agency protocol., • Conducts fire drills and documents results., • Responds to incidents and follows DHS and agency protocols in responding to and documenting incidents., • Reports incidents of Child Abuse to the state Central Registry., • Interacts with HERO and provides updates on unit vacancies and occupancies.
